I'm not sure if anyone else feels the same way, but damn, I was super excited about the idea until I saw gameplay footage. In my head, it was going to be Mirror's Edge mixed with TF2 and Quake. It just looks way too slow-paced for what I wanted. Class size doesnt seem to affect movement speed very much, and characters look like Gears Of War bros trying to do gymnatics. Maybe actually playing it isn't too bad, but I still feel calling it anywhere close to Quake in terms of multiplayer gameplay is a bit of an exaggeration.

Have you ever gone onto a Linux forum before? These people are insane. But that still doesn't change the fact that it was a feature the PS3s were sold on. Oh, and apparently some universities and the like were using them to make a networked supercomputer via Linux similiar to to Folding@Home program.

While I agree with you here, what about how Sony removed the option of installing Linux? For many people, that was a major factor in buying the console in the first place. Should people be allowed circumvent the restriction placed in order to access the function they were promised upon purchase?
  5. Ah, Bob Minecraft, heir to the Minecraft family fortune.
  6. There's a neat mod called "Finiteliquid" that seems to be, on one hand, a lot better, but only the other, way more insane. tDfpzKWnnX8
  7. Ah, I see what you mean by drop track now. Very elegant solution!
  8. I guess the problem would be how to signal when to branch off from the main track while moving in a cart. Hitting a switch is fine, if you know which stop you want and are paying attention. Hitting a switch before you go down the tower would be easier, but require a mass of messy wiring. But maybe someone has found a way around this?
  9. I like the idea of burying treasure somewhere, and leaving a map of a certain area that shows how to reach the next map piece and so on. But yeah, Dynmap is much more helpful as a navigation tool.

Ah, it seems I have been misinformed. Thanks! *EDIT* Hmm, can't recall, but it was probably a kotaku-or-something-similar-esque site. It seemed improbable, but I guess I wouldn't put it past Sony to do something like that.

It seems 2 of the major issues that allowed this to happen were Sony not dividing the Admin/User networks. Unlike Microsoft, which seperates these two completely, Sony gives Admins the ability to sign in to the one network with faulty information. It's theorised that if someone could trick the system into thinking they were an admin, they could give fake credit card information (which PSN would accept, as it thinks they were an admin) and thus, infinite virtual PSN dollars. Also, STORING PASSWORDS IN PLAINTEXT. Goddamn Sony. Seriously? 70 million passwords and sets of personal data and you don't even encrypt that shit? They'd been warned countless times that their security was awful, and I guess we're paying the price for it.
  12. Totally using note blocks to make a midi version of "Whole New World" play along as you go along the track.
  13. I did! (Implosiony) But, to be fair, I saw a smaller version on some other server. So not fully of my own invention.
  14. Hopefully early next week. Notch had planned on releasing it last week, but decided to wait until after the weekend, to give extra time to testing.
  15. Have buckets been disabled recently? can i haz bukket?
  16. Awesome! Could you add Hexans when you get a chance? Our wizard tower needs completion.
  17. Uhh, not sure how this goes down, but any chance of a place on the whitelist for me and a friend? The name's Implosiony and Hexans. Thanks!
  18. On a similar (musical) note, does anyone know if Chris put up chords or tabs for his songs? Or if anybody worked them out? I am dying to cover The Wizard and Space Asshole.
