modeps Posted July 26, 2012 A long time ago, I had the game Centurion: Defender of Rome. It was both a military and political game where the entire goal was to become Caesar. My most memorable aspect was that eventually you could take elephants into battle. They had "huts" mounted on their backs with archers in them and were extremely powerful. What I don't know is if there's any sort of game that's comparable to it today. Rome: Total War is mentioned as a 'see also' in the Wikipedia section, though I've never touched any of the Total War titles. Do those games allow you to have both strategy and political aspects, or are they primarily RTS titles with large amounts of units? Also, has anyone even played Centurion?
