8-) Good god, this one's just damn cute and fun! It's from the same guys who brought us Uplink.

Here's the skinny:

"Combining fast paced action with strategic battle planning, the game features a novel and intuitive control mechanism, a graphical style ripped from 80's retro classics, and a story concerning a tribe of video game sprites trapped in a modern 3d game world."

Battlezone + Centipede + strategy war games + strategy building games + 80s retro + WTF else!

Demo, you ask? Well, I dunno, you sure you wanna download something so big? I mean, it's a whopping 11MB!!! LOL!! Definitely a kick ass 2 hours of great fun I had with it. You may love it, you may not. But you won't know til you try!

Oh, and it's not perfect, really. There are some clumsy spots here and there (pale tutorial, inefficient controls), but it's a cool idea, cool looking.
