L4D2 is a stuttery mess for some reason, even with multicore off. Every PC game I buy these days has some stupid graphical fault that doesn't affect enough people for the developers to give a fuck.

I bought it today too, and have it mostly downloaded in spite of Steam's best efforts to keep my download perpetually 'paused'. Add me I played a lot of the original. It's a multiplayer game at heart, playing it alone is like playing Unreal Tournament alone. There was barely a story.

I have the Xbox and PC versions of both DXIW and DS. I initially bought both for PC, but they ran horribly. Years later I bought the Xbox versions cheap, but they also run horribly. I've played most of DXIW two or three times but never more than a few missions of DS. I always get totally and utterly stuck in the Thief games, just unable to find the thing I'm supposed to be interacting with, so as soon as I'm done mucking about with the guards and the hilarious voices I lose interest.

Dk-bM-2j9ic Looking a bit worrying. The gameplay footage has a crappy sense of scale, hardly any enemies on screen and looks pretty slow paced. And no bouncy ant corpses. Also, there's no split-screen which is a huge shame.

Just finished it. It's a really nice thing, especially the final section. Porter is really well done as a character. Don't forget to play this guys, when it comes out on PC.

The multiplayer will eventually have everything that singleplayer has, provided the server has it enabled. Getting it all working online is what he's planning to do next.

I find it difficult to understand why so many people find it difficult to understand what Minecraft is and to see 'the point'. Whenever it's ineptly discussed on a podcast (see recent giant bombcast for example), it's painful for me to listen to. I'm baffled when I see people on forums reduced to comparing it with other non-sandbox games to explain what it is. To me it's just the most natural thing in the world. It lets me do the things that other games are not able to let me do. I can't dig a tunnel or build a house anywhere in Darkfall or Oblivion, so Minecraft is a great compromise for that longing and people have been making games like that for a while, like Wurm Online and more recently Haven and Hearth and Love. Maybe Dwarf Fortress too. Minecraft is similar to those in a lot of ways, just much more accessible. It's really quite shocking as well as exciting that a freeform game like this seems to be so alien to a lot of people, and lots of them are loving it. I'd always assumed that people just didn't like this kind of thing.

They've got Planescape Torment today and finally made me a customer, been wanting to play this for a long time.

Can't get v-sync working in Amnesia, by any method. It's not very scary with horrible screen tearing.

I love the Odama box art... The Japanese one was beautiful too, doesn't come accross from this image. It's all shiny and embossed as well as being the usual dinky size. It came with a microphone so it's a fat cardboad thing with different art on each side.

I have restartitis with this game, have restarted about 8 times. If I stop playing for a while I lose touch with my character and feel better off starting again and doing better.

It's not changed. I'm lucky if I find 3 or 4 blocks per MASSIVE MASSIVE HOLE. Never enough to ever tool myself up to the degree I want after going through hundreds of stone tools.
