  1. Cataclysm

I stopped playing WoW about 3-4 months ago but reading that summary of changes has got me really interested in going back to see what they've done with Elemental Shaman. I'm just a little cautious of getting hooked on the game again though. Dibs, if you do try your shaman as Elemental, let me know what you reckon. What's the raid content looking like in Cataclysm, or have details not really been realised yet? I haven't paid any attention to the game since I quit.

If you wanted to start a communal fund, I'm sure we could eventually afford these
  3. I am Iron Man (Is there a doctor in the house?)

I'm no medical expert and most likely don't know what I'm talking about, so hopefully someone who knows more may be able to prove me right or tell me I'm talking crap. Anyway, my GF has to take iron suppliments as she has low iron levels too. She suffers to a mild degree and has to take one table a day, but I do vaguely remember her being on a higher dosage originally to get a more immediate effect and to combat the tiredness. It may be that they're doing a similar thing with you? Have you been asked to make any follow-up appointments? It may be they reduce the dosage at a follow-up appointment? Oh and apparrently the extra iron will most likely make your poo really black.

Not sure if anyone else in the UK bothered to watch this but Mark Gatiss (The League of Gentlemen, Crooked House, Sherlock etc) has got a new show that started on Monday of this week. It's called A History of Horror and the first part is still currently available on the BBC iPlayer. To quote the iPlayer info: "A lifelong fan of the genre, Mark begins by exploring the golden age of Hollywood horror. From the late 1920s until the 1940s, a succession of classic pictures and unforgettable actors defined the horror genre - including The Phantom of the Opera starring Lon Chaney, Dracula with Bela Lugosi, and Frankenstein starring Boris Karloff." EDIT: Whilst I think about it, he's also done an adaptation of HG Wells The First Men in the Moon which is due to be shown next Tuesday (19th Oct)
  5. Books, books, books...

Try: Bitter Seeds It's a fiction book and it's not exactly what you were after but you might still be interested. I picked a copy up a while back but still haven't got round to reading it. I've seen generally good reviews of it.
  6. Good Old GOG

I just registered with GOG to purchase Planescape: Torment and it looks like they've giving away free copies of Beneath a Steel Sky, Teen Agent and Lure of the Temptress.
  7. Minecraft

    How about the Starship Enterprise?
  8. Good Old GOG

Late to the party with the Tim & Ron news. Late to the party with the GOG news: http://www.idlethumbs.net/forums/showpost.php?p=152998&postcount=62

That video is truly awesome. I'm really looking for to the TV show and have high hopes for it. Frank Darabont should do a good job and he seems to have the full support of AMC to make it a success. I wasn't too sure about Andrew Lincoln as Rick Grimes but I'll hold judgement until I've seen a bit more. Hopefully he'll do a good job.
  10. Good Old GOG

I just saw this on their Twitter feed. Looks like I'll be making my first GOG purchase when I get home.
  11. Broken Sword: Director's Cut

Have they simplified the goat puzzle? I hope not. It's only fair that people playing this game for the first time suffer the same frustration that I did. Honestly though, anyone that likes adventure games and has never played the first two should do so immediately. Everything about them is great. I tried playing BS3 but could never get far with it as the switch to 3D ruined it for me
  12. Starcraft II

Just tried to add you and it couldn't find you...
  13. Starcraft 2

I've just re-read my post and it didn't make much sense sorry. The way I understood things from the Protoss missions, I knew They could be going down the route Forbin suggested though i.e. I guess we just wait and see though.
  14. Starcraft 2

Hopefully someone knows more about all this than me as I'm ill-informed and just guessing.
  15. Starcraft 2

I failed the last mission on my first attempt as I'd not built up enough defenses on the entrances to my base and I just got overwhelmed. Second attempt I basically did what Karimi has said and it was pretty easy.
  16. Starcraft II

I should probably get round to adding all the EU Thumbs to my friends list. I'm online fairly regularly in the evenings playing in my 4v4 team. I'd be up for a Thumbs game or two but will probably get my ass kicked by you guys.
  17. I agree completely with Thunderpeel. The first two Broken Sword games are amongst my favourite adventure games, and Beneath a Steel Sky was also awesome. To me, they offered something different from the Lucasarts games whilst still keeping my hunger for adventure games satisfied. I liked the writing and I thought the game looked and played really nicely. It has been years since I've played them though. Think I'm gonna have to go get the Directors Cut now. EDIT: Just watching the trailer for the DC has got me stupidly excited for this game again. Oh and I know exactly what you mean about this: That puzzle nearly destroyed me and a friend.

I bet Terry Jones wrote this bit: f2xVZiGOw-o That worm is one of my favourite characters in the film.
  19. Elemental: War of Magic

I saw a post on Twitter about this saying that one of the bugs lets the player marry a drake, have a drake child, and put him on a horse That's where my knowledge of the games ends.
  20. Starcraft II

Finally picked up a copy of SC2 at the weekend. Not played it much yet but my details are: Grufff - 657 - EU I expect to have my ass kicked loads in multiplayer
  21. Hmm...there is a copy of it on Ebay for £27.50 atm...
  22. Good call. I've just bought myself a copy as I've only played it once before and can't really remember much. Chris & Jake's love for it has got me wanting to play it again.
  23. Obligatory comical YouTube thread

Saturdays just aren't the same without the Adam & Joe Show on 6Music.
  24. Movie/TV recommendations

I've not seen the ending yet but apparently there won't be any new episodes for at least a year due to Stephen Moffat having to deal with the next series of Doctor Who. The BBC shot themselves in the foot in that respect by not realising how popular Sherlock would be.
  25. Grand Thumb Auto once more

I'd be there but I'm stuck in France right now.
