Personally I don't care if you know that I live in Bendigo, Victoria, Australia but other people like to keep that sort of information secret. One case i'd point to is in my Call of Duty clan we had a woman join up who would go to great lenghts to never share any sort of personal information, which we thought was kind of weird. At some point it came out that she had been a victim of a violent crime after someone had stalked her, and she was understandably afraid of revealing any information. That is certainly an extreme case, but the point i'm trying to make is: I think people should be allowed to keep their location a secret, for whatever reason. The system would be using geo ip tracing, which tends not to be the most accurate thing ever, so it's likely that it may only actually tell people the location of the nearest capital city or their ISP's nearest major exchange, but even so.

The prevailing anime subtitling software seems to be Aegisub, that should work just fine for you, too. Do read this if you are going to use Aegisub.

I see it pretty much the same way, DLC allows developers to produce more content than they would otherwise have been able to make. Admittedly, the system is sometimes used pretty badly, unlocking content that is already on the disc for money seems pretty gross to me. Buying cosmetic items is fine to me, sure I don't like TF2 hats, but that doesn't mean I don't think they should be available; it's when they sell items that make an actual impact on multiplayer gameplay that I hate it. Who can say that buying more of a game that you love is a bad thing? It's the same deal as an expansion pack, except downloadable. (Just don't abuse it.)

Probably. There are way too many problems with a system like that. Who says that because you bring people to game servers that you're improving the gaming experience for everyone else? If you're making assholes pay full price for games and giving popular people games for free what about the middle of the road people who neither attract nor repel other players? You can't give them 50% price because then you are always losing money. How about skill level? What if i'm good enough at a game that I scare off worse players who don't want to be raped in half a million times? Should I be punished for being good at a game? What if I only like singleplayer games? I could be the nicest person on earth but because I don't play online and bring people to servers Valve hates me. Assholes make up a very large proportion of the market, however making them look on as nice players get rewards isn't going to make them stop being assholes, it's going to make them angry. No thanks.
