I've never played a tabletop game like D&D, but it sounds like fun. I wouldn't mind giving it a go.

My brain's first reaction to the idea of transcribing the podcasts was "That sounds kind of fun." I suppose I'll discover later whether that's true.
-
That was awesome. Thanks for posting it.

Was Freeman's Mind posted?

My defenses are impregnable, robot. You won't trick me.
Incidentally, I was looking for Journal of Games a while ago but I didn't find it. Thanks, robot.

So, uh, how 'bout that DoW II? Assuming the least, I'm probably available Friday-Sunday most weeks. I rock the Eastern US timezone.

Today, we have an article about the menu system. See also: Bethesda amusingly disowning Oblivion at every opportunity.
-
Would it be rude of me to ask how much the server costs to maintain?
-
I'm pretty sure journalists from GameInformer are writing the articles, but since I take all of the links to them from Bethesda's blog, there's probably some corporate meddling going on.

In other news, the Construction Set returns in the shape of the Creation Kit.
-
With the addition of random social occurences, that's probably how Bethesda's system works.

Courtesy FuckNick, here's some stuff about the new engine.

Ah, that!What?
I'm afraid that's classified.
(I don't want to get scooped.)

I hope spiders only climb to reach a player above them. I would not want to enter a dark cavern and have a giant spider fall on my head because I happened to walk beneath one that was just hanging around on the wall at the time.
-
Page 1+2 of this thread will probably fix this.

Speaking of research, I'll be starting my experiments for a study I'm conducting soon, which is exciting. Analysis of Logical Discordance in Deaf Individuals.

This link will take you to the source for the article in the other link. The source has far more information and is being updated occasionally.
This is supposedly an image of the game.

My Windows Live ID is Wublles.

How does Last Stand work tactically? Is it just a cooperative version of the defensive missions in the original campaign?
-
I'll play, but I'm probably pretty awful.

I like 40k too! Unfortunately, most of my knowledge of it comes through the Lexicanum. An encyclopedia doesn't really offer the best way to experience rich fiction.
-
I've read only one other 40k book, Titanicus. I haven't finished Hero of the Imperium yet, but I expect I'll feel the same way about it at the end as I do now; Titanicus is way better. Scary metal giants aren't as endearing as Cain and his pals, though, admittedly.
Edit: INTERESTING FACT. The word "phlegmatic" originates in the Hippocratic approach to medicine, where disproportionate quantities of phlegm are associated with stoicism.

That trailer necessitated sister-hugging. If the game is like that, I'm not sure I'd even want to play it.
