  1. (IGN.com)

With "igndotcom" as the name, this becomes very amusing.
  2. For the eighth time, it's the Bethesda Podcast. This one's a postmortem on Oblivion and it's pretty interesting. It also sounds like Nick might have taken some editing tips (assuming that Nick edits the podcasts) from Irrational Interviews.
  3. V The Elder Scrolls

New screenshots. Featured: Ghosts, murder, an environment, poaching
  4. Could you compile a graph that reflects the average daily population of the server in March so far?
  5. V The Elder Scrolls

I'm not sure that I have any recording equipment that's compatible with a computer, but if I do I'll be sure to put a .wav file or something here. EDIT: Oh, yeah. If I do manage to upload a recording of myself playing the piece, be warned that my piano is horribly out of tune.
  6. V The Elder Scrolls

Mastered intro to Skyrim theme on piano!
  7. Particularly, this interview with the developer. Beware the knee-jerk interviewer. What do you think?
  8. Japan

I've been using the BBC's website. It seems quite level-headed.
  9. Just to be sure, I didn't bold "First Epoch" to imply that I'm angry the link doesn't work; I did it to reference the way Kingzjester has "Fourth Epoch" written in the OP.
  10. The link to the backup of the FIRST EPOCH doesn't work.
  11. We're online with varying frequency; there aren't that many of us. Also, it is a survival server and none of the buildings were created with hacked blocks.
  12. V The Elder Scrolls

Press and hold the left bumper while the cursor is pointed at a physcis object.
  13. Notch wrote an interesting article about terrain generation and posted it on Tumblr. EDIT: Also, since Jake mentioned idlemc on the podcast, we need to get a sign up near the spawn that tells people to register here.
  14. Books, books, books...

Just finished Hamlet. Get this: I thought it was pretty good. The thing with the pirates was dumb, though. So, was Hamlet a vengeful, selfish brat? Too good for this sinful earth? A stoic, calculating genius? A lunatic? He seemed like a rather ordinary individual, thrown into events too taxing on his moral code to react reasonably to them.
  15. This isn't a lecture, but it probably belongs here more than it does in the other video thread. fvSRnOJ8x38& Skip to around 9:30 for particular coolness, but the whole thing is still worth watching.
  16. Piracy/theft

Oh, yeah. To be sure, I don't see much wrong with pirating something that you couldn't have purchased. There's nothing you can really do in that case.
  17. Piracy/theft

That problem would exist with or without piracy.
  18. Piracy/theft

To me, the main problem with piracy is that it allows people to acquire a game for free when they can and would otherwise pay for it. Although these individuals aren't technically stealing, they are still depriving developers of money they would have definitely received if the pirate had just gone down to Best Buy and bought the game.
  19. It didn't. Slimes were removed in alpha for being wacky.
  20. Life

People are playing QWOP on the library computers. Imagine my surprise.
  21. Are there really that many zombie games? I can think of Left for Dead, Dead Rising, Dead Space, and Plants vs. Zombies as the only games directly about zombies (excluding Dead Island, of course). Beyond that, Halo and Call of Duty feature zombies, but not very prominently. I suppose it's a bit odd zombies specifically appear with any amount of frequency, but it doesn't seem out of control. EDIT: And horror games, I guess. I think they might be exempt. Unless you're referring to culture as a whole, but then the zombie trend (where there is one) isn't the fault of video games. I'd blame Dawn of the Dead or 28 Days Later. Alternatively, I don't know anything about video games.
