I finally finished up assasin's creed brotherhood. I just cannot believe how far that series has come, from being tedious, repetative, and just plain not good in the first game, to taking the massive leap in the second game, and turning the weaknesses of the first games into strengths by the the time brotherhood comes around. I enjoyed every minute of the 30+ hours I put into it, and it even contributes to the overall story arch as well, which I'm convinced is among the best in gaming.

Can you articulate spin what exactly about their opinions you don't respect? I'm not getting what you're going for there.

It's been 5 dollars so many times man! How could you not have bought that game for FIVE DOLLARS. I don't even think it's as great as everyone says it is, but that's such a good deal.

I also bought darksiders, but I had to download the motionjoy controller drivers so I could use my PS3 controller, because I didn't have a USB 360 controller.

I already picked up super meat boy, and I would have bought titan quest and AC2 if I hadn't played them already. Anyone played the PC version of Darksiders? I've heard lots of good things about it and it's hard to resist for 10 dollars.

You absolutely should play it. Almost nothing actually happens, but you will still shit your pants out of fear. I love it.

The giant bomb guys don't talk over each other and they have plenty of informed opinions. Instead of whining about sequels and the lack of art in games like most pretentious podcasts, they sit there and talk about the games in a way everyone can relate to,they understand how the business side of the industry works, and aren't afraid to say, "Hey, this game is fun because you get to stab a dude, and it looks badass" When it applies to a game like Assasin's Creed"

My luck with contests has been great lately, finished up my 10th objective friday mostly the way christ did, achievements I already had from playing games, it would be amazing if someone in the community won something.

Is the game just optimized poorly, or is that that demanding on hardware? I thought I had a decent machine but i have to run it on low just to get a consistent framerate.

Pretty much exactly how I felt about the series as well. I never even finished the first game it was so tedious, but the second one drew me right back in with an intriguing story and improved gameplay. Just wait until you get to play brotherhood man, I just got it the other day and it's soooooo good.

I'm reading the book "The Tyranny of Oil" by Atonia Juhasz right now. It's pretty blatantly coming at the problem of Big oil companies and their perceived policial and eocnomic clout from a biased perspective. It's hard to take the book as objective when the author comes out talking about how the big bad oil company is ruining the whole economy and the environment and hates the average worker, but some of the more salient points make for a good read. I'm learning a lot about how the oil futures markets work, and how the de regulation of the american, and the world economy in the 70s and 80s led to a lot of these companies becoming maybe too large again, like it was with standard oil in the late 19th century.

Gamers with jobs is pretty good most of the time, but sometimes they get a little too up their own asses with PC elitism for their own good.
