Unhonored: Jake's Disfortune
-
How come no-one rewound time to include Braid in the list of games discussed?
A jarring anomaly.
-
Thrik noooooooooo! Who told you to reject your winter beard?!
-
Actually, I think you'll find of was The Way of the Gun (Christopher McQuarrie, 2000), starring Benicio del Toro and Ryan Philippe.
-
I think it's improved over the last couple of years or so.
And props to the notion that Kotaku AU is top stuff, it's been impressive.
-
Come on SBM, Ghostbusters II wasn't that bad was it?

One of my greatest joys in life is being the person in the room smarter than they are.
In your estimation, what are the main contributing factors to your status as Person Most Likely To Be Smarter?

Blue Flamingo is a shmup from the Pid and Shelter studio.
Quite surprised to see Eidolon bundled quite so soon, thought it could have been in FRACT's category. Deal done though.

I've been very, very reserved so far in this sale. Bought 5 things and all but one of them were sub-$2. I did buy Never Alone, mostly because that's the kind of project I want to support while it's relatively new, even if I'm not going to play it for awhile.
Very similar experience here, if you sub in Nuclear Throne instead of Never Alone - I rationalised that one as current owners will receive an additional gift copy not long after Jan 1, Eurotimezone, and it looks like the kind of game that could get a lot of regular rotation, Spelunky style.
That was a Real Money purchase but all else came out of Steam Wallet funds from trading card sales.
I find myself feeling like I 'won' in that I have half a dozen more games for very little (or no) financial outlay, but 'lost' in that the Steam sale entity successfully convinced me to part with currency at all. Battle of the wills.

My only issue is they use the amnesia trope but for literally no reason. You're in prison, and you get your sentence extended for amnesia. They could have easily just thrown you in prison without the why explained, or even just some throw away reason like theft or something more interesting like murder. Nope though, amnesia, sigh.
Ok, now I'm interested!

So uh...my uncle (in law) has been arrested on charges of possessing child pornography. Merry Christmas, I suppose.
Oh man, that's an uncomfortable piece of news. I really feel for you.

Well, he did say it was a wild idea after all. Another interpretation might be that it was placing importance upon a woman's experience of sex rather than envisioning her merely as a passive receptacle or child manufacturing unit? I don't know.
-
Man I just can't stop wondering how this will fit in with or work around the Minecraft movie plot, whatever that turns out to be.
-
I'm tempted to check those out, but they probably don't stack with the sale do they?
Doesn't seem likely but who knows, you're welcome to have a go with them if you want! Having checked the Steam store, FF III is already at 33%, XIII-2 and Osiris at 20%, so it could be those voucher amounts are to become their Daily Deal thresholds...

This year's Square Enix mystery preorder. I'm happy with it.
Murdered Soul Suspect was a given, Lara Guardian of Light a probable choice (despite being repeated from the SE Humble Bundle), The Last Remnant a good concession to the requirement for a cult favorite (but again, a repeat), and Thief 2014 a bit of a surprise. It's supposed to be good if you turn off Batman Vision?
Nosgoth and Deus Ex The Fall more than a bit cheeky though.
Anyone in need of 50% discount vouchers for FF III or XIII-2? I'm assuming the 33% off Lara Osiris won't beat or stack with its Steam Daily / Flash deal. -
I'm asking because I genuinely don't know, but is it a dichotomy present in Jewish culture also?
-
Does anyone have any words of advice regarding the custom OS CyanogenMod for Android devices?
I'm thinking of installing it as it seems like a good way of ensuring better support for an older device and getting rid of carrier bloat.
-
I wonder if Steam Gems will factor into the Winter Sale metagame too.

Yes, just looking at the production credits for their recent stuff and you can see that they know about funding!

Working Visa issues maybe?
All the best Man, it sounds like you're a good candidate especially if they are looking for a cool thumb in the office

EDIT: It is also exceedingly bizarre that the rounds all last 45 minutes exactly... except the first that lasts 2 1/2 more days?
I think it's just that there's a run up to the auction phase starting to allow bidders to prepare / charge the virtual items market.
