Grand Thumb Auto retro PC edition

GTA IV is on a daily deal for the next 47 hours or so, same price as during the Community Choice. -
The Co-Optimus System Search is usually a good place to start!

Go, family Zeusthecat! Remember, you guys are far more experienced now, and under a lot less pressure. That will put you in a better position with any over-zealous hospital staff and should make it easier to remain both calm and insistent if needed. If it's a boy, will you be calling him Lucas?

I have a crown for sale in the Mabel Babel & Labelle accessory shop. It's a snip at 1,200,000 Bells in case anyone fancies dropping in to buy it over the next couple of hours. edit: due to my snail's pace of play, tonight's the first night that a villager is talking about moving out. On the one hand, it's Papi the Smiling Horse. On the other hand, Papi wants to go on ONE big adventure and moving out is just that. So torn!

Yeah I think weekends would be nice for Thumbs outside the Euro- and Afrozones. Thanks for the help with GFWL invites and sorry for dropping out even before the fun began, it wouldn't let me in with mods installed, I think one of them might have been interfering with day/night/weather or something. Good to see an excellent jif produced though. -

Yeah, hoping for a couple of repeat Retro Thumb Autoings as V gets closer. Despite minimal GTA modding experience I feel compelled to recommend the Iceglace ENB series, well known for making GTA IV shinier and more colorful, cough cough (there's a toned-down version called Mild ENB). TreesModIV and the 4.5GB Better City Textures have self-explanatory titles. VisualIV is what I'm using to "improve" my frame rate. Back up your stuff first obv, in case fiddling with patches and files irritates the Rockstar Social / GFWL / Gaben Police protection layers. There's a good list at pcgamer.com/2012/12/17/gta-iv-mods/ -

Right, I've optimized my GTA4box by installing another 7.5GB of texture packs and downgrade mods, and should now be able to achieve an eyeball busting 25fps. LEET. About times. Are we talking 1.30pm Mountain Standard Time or 1.30pm Mountain Daylight Time? There's an hour's difference (90,000 frames, in my case). -
I do agree that previous sales' meta-games gave the impression of being about games and the playing of games (convenienced by the sale's low prices), whereas one is far more overtly about experimenting with a virtual economy. A cynical manouevre? That's something I cannot tell.

Yes indeed, there is a Steam group for the entirety of The Idle Thumbs as well as its forum users, just here: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/IdleThumbs

Would there be room for something like The Mighty Boosh (S1) and Snuff Box for people of a Spaced persuasion?
-
HITMAN was also cheapest of the three after discount, could be an additional factor. Also it might have had the most adverts on the side of buses.
-
So the community chose Hitman over XCOM EU and Dark JeffGameGolds. Interesting.
-
Dude! It's got a double health bar!
-
Well. That's a bit ... morbid. Yonder double-necked guitar better pull a sweet double-necked solo, is all I'm saying.

Do you get actual virtual cats with the BestBuy® cat tower?
-
Of course it's junk.

The one with Ballad and Lost & Damned is only a few coins more. What's the Thumb consensus on best choice for Monday Madnesses? -

GTA IV wins. They better include Episodes in the 75% discount or else. -
Yeah that's pretty good going!

The Business Side of Video (Space) Games EXCLUSIVELY ON IDLE THUMBS

Would love to know the motivation for that. Surely not soley an assumption about jailbreaking and software piracy. Surely? -
You require DSfix which is available at http://blog.metaclassofnil.com/?tag=dsfix and http://darksouls.nexusmods.com/mods/19/? with comparison screenshots at http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=488240

I am looking at EYE Divine Cybermancy, which costs three pieces of belly fluff right now, and thinking HMMMMM
