LOL! Thought you might enjoy this satirical screed, from the deep-thinking designer of Triple Town: lostgarden.com/2013/07/coercive-pay-2-play-techniques.html. Excerpt:
  5. GTA V

I'm with you on that alright, it's happening -- enter Mington stage right with itshappening.gif -- but not all at the same time If I've got the references right then Rockstar's July Q&A said "We don’t have anything to share about the possibility of a next-gen or a PC platform release at this time" and Take Two CEO Strauss Zelnick ruled out a ""dual-generation launch" as far back as February (of course, duh, because neither XBO nor PS4 will be available in September (unless Kaz goes rabid for an early launch)).

Each caster starts the pod with a pot of 10 points which they can allocate among games discussed according to their own specialist categories: narrative innovation, characterization and radness; engendered enthusiasm and super-radness; capacity for allowing extended despotic power-trips; systemic realisation and bonkersness. Max Payne 3 was announced for PC only two and a half months before it launched, so it's almost conceivable that 5IVE could follow the same pattern and still get a 2013 release. But then there's the possible complications of next gen stuff, and the utter rudeness of releasing so close to ARMA III, Rome II, and Cabela's African Adventures. In conclusion: "Before June 2014" would be a safe bet.

Yeah. It's showing up for me in both posts. (and I expect for you too now as I've edited in your 'gur, ta)

Can't stop thinking of Argo's post every time I pass one of these posters: Starring Matt Damon as the face attached to the front of a bald space marine's head and Jodie Foster as a beautiful yet fiercely intelligent lens flare

Didn't HL2 kinda take place in Russia? I'm telling ya, man, I'm telling ya!

Och, you can go to a screening of The Boondock Saints instead. It's pretty authentic. Follow that up with The Devil's Own for some true mastery of the accent.

I hear you about physiological differences between men and women and agree that it has an impact on brain chemistry and therefore perception and decision making. I'd be interested in learning more about differences in adrenaline production and / or adrenaline sensitivity between men and women as I haven't found conclusive evidence either way. For me, the role of nurture in influencing or guiding natural drives and instincts is important; toys made for adults are ones that children will want to learn about and can take developmental cues from.

Well, bravo for offering examples in the face of certain shred-ripping anyway. So, about manly and womanly interests... if a one-year-old child shows interest in a vacuum cleaner, can we say that they are already displaying feminine interests? What if the vacuum cleaner is manufactured by a power tools company, does that change things? Is it a display of masculine interests now? Is a pram like this for boys or girls? Stuff like arm wrestling [squirming infants], hard drinking (will you be getting trolleyed on Bailey's or Cosmo tonight?), destructive behavior, non-sexual physical contact, consumption of foods high in sugars and fats, home improvements... surely this is as much about whatever a society has decreed to be an acceptable male or female activity as it is about a person's behavior in the first place? For example, Latin and Mediterranian cultures tend to be very much up on physical contact in comparison to Northern Europeans (particularly Brits).

It's like Sleeping Dogs except with real pork buns. Seriously, it's ace. Mountain, night markets, train systems, super super tower blocks and tucked away houses, ferries across the water, tourist-friendly noodle restaurants where the chef will create those fine noodles from scratch in front of your very eyes, backwoods noodle bars with dodgy tiling and waiters who intentionally give you the slipperiest noodle soup available, and the best Wendy's Burgers on the face of the planet. I know you gonna love them burgers.

Oh ok, it's cool there's a supply of material already at hand. Sorry for any suggestion of duplicity, I'd meant that the IGG fund would be raised with the explicit aim of then going on to KS for a greater amount to fund production but I can see how that might not come across as the best of ideas. Great to hear that wouldn't be required anyway, internet high-five on a sunny beachside boardwalk to you.

That is picklin' sweeeeet! The comic project kind of reminds me of the Symbiosis Kickstarter. I guess that guy already had loads of stuff done before launching the Kickstarter. Is there any viability in first creating an IndieGoGo fundraiser as a kind of seed fund for what would then become the Kickstarter material, or is that against the rules? It seems a bit better suited towards artistic patronage in some respects (but at the same time that can affect a project's perceived buzzworthiness). The other project kind of reminds me of things that are super-ace. Nice one!
