Weren't there supply issues with the Wii for its first holiday season? People re-selling it for crazy prices due to supply and demand, accusations of artificial scarecity encouraged by Nintendo in order to increase desirability, that sort of thing. The Xbox 360 and Xbox One mantra has been exclusivity so I don't think it will harm the new box's chances that much. Microsoft (or Xbox spin-off) will market it as more of a high quality luxury good. I mean, that makes sense to me, but I could be totally wrong about it of course.

...is JetGetters still available? Yeah, Super Sky Pirates makes it sound like the gimmick is pirates rather than super fun jet getting, hurling and rocketing? (Sorry if the game does actually make extensive use of piracy motifs, if it does I'm sure it's in a way that is totally endearing) I really like High Jacks as well. Sort of has a Wonderful 101 vibe where every character is called Jack. However, I'm a bit averse to names that reference horrific events that could actually happen, become world news, and then make reporting on your game potentially really awkward.

True. Does any gap between the final case design being unveiled and the overclocking / performance gains stories coming out back that up? -

Indeed, there are mutterings over a select number of over-warm PS4s though it sounds like fan faults rather than design faults in those... cases. -
I'm developing a not insignificant level of anguish about playing video games without live streaming them, even though freely admitting that I would probably be a terrible live streamer of games were I to do it.

That email from Zoë about games with unexpected competitive communities was amazing. Thanks for backing it, Nick, and thanks, Sean, for giving voice to my (and others') incredulous responses at precisely the right moments. I know it segued into a notice about the Netrunner podcast but it would actually be super super cool to listen to Zoë (or Zone of the Enders, if her name was actually a reference to yet another possible unlikely and secret competitive game community) break down the history and background to some of these games in longer form, maybe in conversation with someone integral to the scene. A sort of podcastable Smash Bros documentary in miniature. Too much to wish for? Also thanks Chris and Jake. -
Your post works best read in the voice of Ce-cil Baldwin.

Actually it comes from the French, 'a pareil parc' which means 'similar to a park.' So really they're asking you to improvise on a theme. Express yourself, Pam. Let it all out!

Airflow design could have something to do with it as there was talk of the Xbox One being able to adapt performance according to its own internal temperature (so we know that figured reasonably highly on as an engineering priority (if not a PR priority)). In contrast to Microsoft's Millenium Falcon, the back of the PS4 is practically open to the four elements: dust, pet hair, tears of sweat and salt, and dorito flakes. -

Would you find it baffling and frustrating should someone suggest you try homeplugs? (I realise it wouldn't work but feel like it has to be done)

Sorry I don't have a coupon for you Mr. G, but would you and/or your son be interested in playing through the free Source 2 remake Black Mesa in place of Half-Life?

[ O+O ] The Owl Genuinely can't wait for all of The Owl's owl-themed skins and decals from unlicensed third-party accessory manufacturers! also I hope they worked out a way for the magnet-o-speaker to make bird sounds
-
Based on the view that Valve are into incentives more than exclusives, you won't be restricted to using The Owl with a Steam Machine, but it'll have been designed to give a better all round experience than the alternatives.

Aha! I too was attempting to do so with a question about the existential meaning of his joke. Philosophy jokes! The best!

Microsoft co-founder and now big-time investor / philanthropist / sports team owner Paul Allen agrees with CEO candidate Elop, reckons Xbox should be sold off or spun out. Not because it isn't profitable but because it's not part of MS' focus on enterprise or cloud business. -
I'm sorry but what was your purpose in posting this?

Question: this commercial hinges on (reverse sexism and) one XBO user being able to take control from another using Kinect voice control. Have Microsoft explained what they are doing to prevent this from happening IRL?

I misread innoculus as in Oculus Rift and wondered at how Lego games worked within Oculus Rift and are they doing Oculi in child head sizes now?

Tegs that is very Nedroid-esque, I like. I love Jeff Green forever after he liked my website on Twitter. Looking forward to the episode.
