Hello. Really appreciating the debate on both sides here. Topics of exclusion are seldom easy to discuss, think it's actually been relatively restrained so far (!) so good job all round. Just to put my less eloquent cent into the pot. On the subject of non-caucasian protagonist possibilities, I am very interested in seeing that realized with greater and greater nuance. But not convinced that stirring a melting pot of subcontinental racial tensions (if that is indeed the thematic direction) will neccesarily prove fruitful without bold and clear statements of authorial intention.

Where are his feet? How does he balance on that tree limb? Why is every muscle in his body (and face-knee) in a state of full tension? Batman: The Tetanus Age

Oh man, imagine if Cormack had gone solo instead of heading to Oculus and actually harnessing the power of two Wii Us was the subject of his pet project and a meticulously detailed GDC talk.

Have you got room for one more MvM newcomer?

Yes. YES. What a lineup. Thanks, p. I do believe that Maddy was recently featured on Giant Bomb for her Metroid music... yep, that's the one: http://www.giantbomb.com/podcasts/her-music-is-powered-by-samus-aran/1600-833/

I'd like to play some forum TF2 / MvM as well, if we can find a common time to suit. -
Spoilers without spoilers!

Well I guess I completed Shelter. I mean, two of my guys got eagled, two must have been owled, and one got far too moist. Then the Great White Eagle transmogrified me into morsels for her own brood. Mission success?

Is anyone else strangely excited for the new Wolfenstein game?
Justin Leego replied to Architecture's topic in Video Gaming
Yes indeed, it's 50gb on Steam. For comparison, Rage was 25GB, but that was three years ago, and the first published id Tech 5 game. System Requirements OS: 64-bit Windows 7/Windows 8 Processor: Intel Core i7 or equivalent AMD Memory: 4 GB RAM Graphics: GeForce 460, ATI Radeon HD 6850 Hard Drive: 50 GB available space edit: that's the other thing - i7 as minimum spec CPU. Man. edïten: guess that should be their recommended rather than min spec, there is hope in grid-based form http://www.gamestar.de/hardware/praxis/technik-check/3056002/wolfenstein_the_new_order_im_technik_check_p4.html -

You must continue. -
Recalling RPS' discussion of FC3 with its writer, Jeffrey Yohalem (and anticipating the defense of "you're supposed to be offended, he's the antagonist," wherever it comes from), I'm sitting here trying to come up with examples of the effective use of satirical violence in media. All Quiet on the Western Front comes to mind but that's not exactly satire, just a straight retelling of the horrors of massed violent conflict. Effective though. Again, Spec Ops: The Line went out of its way to ensure players understood their character, aligned with the use of deadly violenceas a means to an end, was becoming the sort of monster he sought to eliminate. Is satire just not the right tool for the task? Oh, moot point, and I might be looking at the wrong quote, but didn't the game director say "he's not white" rather than "he's asian?"

Idle Thumbs 159: Wilson's Ghoulish Countenance

This is probably self evident to everyone else but thanks to Wilson's Ghoulish Countenance I finally realised that Earl Hindman was also in The Taking of Pelham One Two Three as Mr. Brown. If you don't know the film, see if you can spot him... -

I feel like you are not taking things seriously.

Forum Search again. If "Find Content > Only Posts" (and also general forum search) is not able to retrieve anything more recent than April 26, is it to do with the Sphinx downgrade (above)? By contrast, the member profile > posts tab is up to date.

Definitely wear a Nintendo Power Glove.

So the Blink Bundle was your second biggest launch after Steam? That's pretty interesting. Is that based on volume or revenue structure or what?

Damn it, but computers have become really complicated
Justin Leego replied to Erkki's topic in Idle Banter
Yeah, it's tough. I guess if you want to see what using a pro level application would be like then Lightworks has got your back!
