  1. Anyone Remember?

    Mwah. Thank you, dear.
  2. Anyone Remember?

Does anyone remember the episode where Remo talked about the GDC adventure game and played a sound clip from it? I'm curious to play it, so if you know the title of it, I would greatly appreciate that as well.
  3. Fall of the Samurai

For whatever it's worth, I know Medieval 2: Total War got modded quite a bit, and I distinctly remember thorough mods for Lord of the Rings and Legend of Zelda themes. The game is fairly cheap on Steam.
  4. IDLE THUMBS KICKSTARTER!

I should probably be ashamed at how amazingly excited and happy I am for the possibility of a podcast. Best wishes!
  5. idlethumbs.net

I did a little sleuthing (so little, it's not even actually sleuthing) and noticed that Remo left Irrational in October of last year and moved back to San Francisco in January. Perhaps this is all old news as I haven't kept up with any of the gentleman save for the Idle Thumbs twitter account, but does anyone know what's going on? I'm having dreams of Remo being hired at Double Fine or Telltale.
  6. General Video Game Deals Thread

You're describing my life. The only PC I have is a laptop from 2005, and I still end up buying games just because they're cheap, banking on the idea that I'll get a good desktop eventually. Steam =
  7. Deadly Premonition

So I decided to subject myself to this game. It's not horrible. Bad, but not horrible. That being said, I wouldn't recommend it at all and suggest sticking to watching the GB guys; their commentary makes the game a million times more enjoyable.
  8. Fallout 3

I second this. Fallout 3 has a bland landscape, but I love finding an old holotape, PC, or note that lets my mind build a context for what I see. Tangent: I was playing about a month ago and found a dead body in a house somewhere in the Capitol that read "Search the house" or something to that effect; anybody know what this is a part of? Is there an actual thing this leads to or are they just teasing me?
  9. The Dancing Thumb (aka: music recommendations)

A chance to see Soundgarden, or sacrifice us.....?
  10. The Dancing Thumb (aka: music recommendations)

I also really enjoyed the music in "Digital: A Love Story" Go play and listen: http://www.scoutshonour.com/digital/
  11. The Dancing Thumb (aka: music recommendations)

Went to Coachella and saw Jonsi (new band by the Sigur Ros' front man), and am greatly enjoying their "Go" album- they make excellent noises.
  12. The threat of Big Dog

Oh man. The image of miniature T47's and Big Dogs destroying the world in their war made me crack up, mostly because I saw the opposing war rooms filled with geeks frantically tinkering away on models.
  13. Books, books, books...

I read those back in High School and my undiscriminating mind just ate up the idea of cowboys in Western-fantasy. It was around the time I was really into the "Deadlands" TCG. Jeez, I'm such a nerd. To recommend something: anything Raymond Carver.
  14. Other podcasts

"Life Well Wasted" has already been lauded here, but I'd like to add my "It's awesome" 2 cents in for it. On non-VG related casts "12 Byzantine Rulers" and "Norman Centuries" (both by Lars Brownworth) are pretty enjoyable.
  15. Anybody Played...?

Fair enough. To get on topic then.... Risen for the 360? Worth trudging through the rough interface?
  16. Exams are shit. Discuss

So I've been out of college for an year now and I kind of miss exams. Where can I sign up to be a professional student?
  17. New people: Read this, say hi.

Read it. Saying "Hi". Hi. I've been listening to the Thumbs since Original Episode 43 and finally decided to become active here. Though I was a purely console gamer growing up (NES, N64, Dreamcast, Gamecube) listening to this podcast convinced me to use my laptop for more than writing essays and recording music. Thanks to the Thumbs, I've played some awesome games (Fallout, Diablo II, Torchlight, Deus Ex, Stasrcraft) that I probably wouldn't have tried out if not for their enthusiastic recommendations. That is all. End post.
