That could actually lead to some cool things down the road. Of course, it also sounds like it currently can connect to other games, so also shitty hackers.
From what people have found, it seems like anything the debug mode can do is only present on that player's instance of the game, and you can't really do much (at least in a PVP sense). One of the things it has done is allowed people like Illusorywall to do more digging into the more ambiguous mechanics like miracle resonance and Vagrants.
And there was a brief kerfuffle when Bandai Namco started taking down hosted copies of the debug EXE and the agency they hired to do so accidentally hit DSFix with a takedown as well, but that's been sorted out by now and everything's fine.

I don't know what was going on, but for some reason I had a fraction-of-a-second delay in the audio for this episode that was just enough to bother me when people's lips were clearly visible. I've been watching them all on Blu-Ray, and it hasn't been a problem before.
That guitar scene was fucking awful.

It looks like the initial version of the Steamworks update inadvertently distributed a debug version of the EXE:

...Dragon Age: Inquisition has trans characters? Are trans characters in that kind of fantasy fiction even a thing? I wanted to hear way more about that.
There's one major trans character that you can have any amount of real interaction with, but yes. You can talk to him and find out more about his background and how it works in DA:I's setting. I haven't delved into it yet, but I'm pretty sure some sort of magic is involved. One of the writers made a blog post about the creation of that character: http://blog.bioware.com/2014/12/04/building-a-character-cremisius-krem-aclassi/
Sean's comparison/assumption of DA:I and Darks Souls' similarity is one of the few times I've ever reacted out loud when listening to a podcast. "FFF-WHAT?"

I relistened to the 187 and there were no woofs, and I can't keep going backwards. I concede with the woofs.
Unless it was just Jake saying "woof" this whole time? Maybe you guys have never said woof and I am getting all of my podcasts mixed up.
Both Chris and Jake "woof" in the most recent Twin Peaks Rewatch episode.

I have a shiny Charizard now! That's 14 perfect/near-perfect shinies that I've bred. I have no idea which one to go for next.
On a related note, does anyone want a Charmander? It took 750 eggs to get that shiny and I still have most of them left. They're all Modest with at least five perfect stats, guaranteed.
You are a cold, calculating machine.
"You want a Charmander? I've got, like, a thousand non-shiny (shudder) rejects sitting around here somewhere. Here, this one has five perfect stats and a Modest personality, and it's female, so it's good for breeding. Wanna
get smeared across the floor by a team of perfect shiniesbattle?"But you gave me a Meowth, so I think that absolves you of any/everything in my eyes.

I might be up for trying for Tabula Rasa.
I played the Diamond Heist with my brother a bunch last night, but didn't manage to complete it because it was getting late, and I was getting tired and frustrated. It's a bit like Shadow Raid, in that there's a bunch of things to get and ways to get them, but there are enough guards and civilians around that you have to be very careful or willing to go loud. The final room also has a randomized floor-plate-triggered poison gas trap/alarm thing. Tripped it once when by brother wasn't paying attention and just ran into the room, and a second time when there was a miscommunication about the safe path. And then I gave up because it was late, etc.

New version of DSfix - http://blog.metaclassofnil.com/?p=652
Current version of DSCfix (connectivity fix) doesn't work with the Steamworks update, may or may not break actual functionality, and a new version may or may not be coming/possible. So disable or uninstall it.
Don't know about the mouse fix, because what kind of maniac would use a mouse for this game?

I have 5 or 6 bids of 200-300 gems on some smaller things, and have maintained my top-100-bids position on all of them so far. As long as there isn't any bid sniping, I should eventually have some games.

PRAISE THE SUN
http://steamcommunity.com/games/211420/announcements/detail/206368522048405952
The GFWL-Steamworks switch has finally happened! You will have to do a bit of fiddling to get saves transferred, but it's not much!
Also, it looks like the update is having issues with the current versions of DSCfix (the multiplayer connection fix) and DSMfix (mouse input fix), which isn't all that surprising.

Check out 202-203 for more detailed definitions, but that reads to me like this: Casting time is the actual time it takes to perform whatever ritual you need to do to activate the effect. You are making magical gestures or speaking magical words, but most (mechanically) importantly, maintaining concentration. Duration is how long the actual effect lasts. Prayer of Healing's duration is instantaneous, so its healing effect is fully manifested the moment the casting time completes, as opposed to, say, a Light spell that can be cast quickly (1 action), but provides its effect continuously for an hour before fading out.

Is there any item even worth more than 4 gems?
Oh, yeah. Cards are worth around 20-30, depending on how many cards are in the set, it seems. Icons and backgrounds are anywhere from 40-200.

Don't thank me, it's all Jake's fault.
WHAT HAVE YOU DONE, JAKE

I forgot about Pirate's Curse. I liked Risky's Revenge and then bought the original GBA game on the 3DS Virtual Console, but the controls on that one are a bit fiddly, and I stopped playing it. I think the huge Kickstarter campaign they ran for the newest one overshadowed the fact that there was already a Shantae game in development.

I've played long enough to get the fifth gym badge, and although the global trade stuff is introduced fairly early, I have yet to get a Meowth because PEOPLE ARE CRAZY and want all sorts of legendary bullshit in trade.
I'm not happy.

For me, the Scholastic Book Club was primarily a way to acquire more Calvin and Hobbes.
YES

Oh, man, Cassandra
is totally obsessed with Varric's trashy romance novels.
It's so good.
-
The patch fixed my most concerning issue: the main character voice-switch that happens under certain circumstances when talking to Varric at Skyhold. I was content with doing sidequests and holding off on that for a while, but had just gotten to the point where I wanted to continue the story.

I was having similar problems with a GTX 650, and the in-game benchmark showed almost no change between highest and lowest settings. I just upgraded to a GTX 750, and got a bump of about 15 fps.
I also recommend checking out the PC Gaming Wiki for any game release. It usually takes a few days for people to update it with tweaks and such, but is very useful.

it's even a porn magazine, for fuck's sake
Maybe he's eating it for the articles.
In all seriousness, seeing that the intent has been explicitly stated by Ridley Scott does make it come off as tone-deaf, even if it was done in ignorance. If the devs really do care about the source material as much as they seem to, it's weird that they would just sort of paper over it for some sort of strange fan service.
