  1. The All New XBox Gamertag Exchange Thread!

Accounting Shakespeare, the main character in the new Final Finance game!
  2. GTA 33: Never Too Early

Balls. The internet was down in my area when I woke up this morning and just came back.
  3. So.. Batman: Arkham Asylum

Didn't actually do that. I almost threw my controller through a window when that happened.
  4. So.. Batman: Arkham Asylum

Great bit. My favorite part was I couldn't help but laugh.
  5. Odious Tea

That flamethrower you find is great against those bastards, too.
  6. Wizaaaaaards!!

Oh, man. I was digging through some of the old files on my PC, and I found this old gem (which happens to still be hosted on Rev3): http://revision3.com/webdrifter/wizard That Martin Sargent is one crazy cat.
  7. So.. Batman: Arkham Asylum

Fixed. Bioshock ran a heavily modded UE2.5, with elements from UE3 added in. Not quite full-fledged UE3.
  8. Sort of. Due to the story, you start one of the first levels with a gun. You don't have to use it, but the fact that it's available makes things a bit less scary. It goes into more Condemned territory after that, but the last bits of the game sort of turn into a shooting gallery. It also goes into a lot of the things left unexplained by the first game, but it has kind of shark-jumping sci-fi twist to it, so again, a lot of complaints from people. Personally, I didn't think it was that bad. While the end did devolve into a decidedly not-Condemned FPS, I had a great experience with the game overall, and would recommend it to anyone who enjoyed the first game.
  9. So... beautiful women have no business being action heroes? Man, movies must be twisting my view of reality.
  10. AHHH! THOSE TEETH ARE HUGE!
  11. The Dancing Thumb (aka: music recommendations)

I don't know if it's been mentioned yet ('cause I'm lazy, and would you look at the size of this thread?), but I'm rather partial to Electric Six. It's just rock for the sake of rock; good music with weird and mostly nonsensical lyrics. They show a bit of a funk influence as well. They also did an awesome cover of Radio Ga Ga: <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v6O5UjlBWFQ&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v6O5UjlBWFQ&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
  12. That mod is interesting and amusing for a while, but some of the sounds don't quite fit with what they're trying to emulate or are just too loud. I got annoyed with the footstep sounds before the video was even over.
  13. Comics

I'll recommend some writers, just to mix it up: Warren Ellis. Planetary, The Authority, and Transmet have been mentioned, but he also did some work on Hellblazer, and did a great series titled Global Frequency. Garth Ennis. Preacher. Hitman. The Pro. War Story. Fury. Also did some work on The Authority, Hellblazer, and the '99 Punisher re-launch. Brian Michael Bendis. Jinx, Goldfish, Fire, and Torso are among my favorite comics of all time. There's also Alias (not related to the TV show), Powers, and I think he's still working on Ultimate Spider-Man.
  14. PSP

Well, Sony's done a little bit to soothe my pain. In celebration of the Go's release, they put around 100 PSP games on PSN, and a number of them will be on sale for a while. A good portion of them seem to be older, and possibly harder to find games, selling for $10-20. I might need to buy a bigger Memory Stick...
  15. Wizaaaaaards!!

    Silly rabbit, Half-Life 2 is for PC's!
  16. (IGN.com)

"It's like overdosing on heroin because you thought it was cocaine!"
  17. I don't know, I've always liked 90's action movie cheesiness. But never fear: writer Patrick Weekes has shown up on a few different sites talking about how the squad-recruiting aspect of the story means that there are quite a few different characters to choose from, so if you don't like Subject Zero, there will be another strong biotic character who might be more likable. Oh, and SoulChicken, you're right. A huge, demonic woman shooting demon babies out of her nipples is completely normal. No well-adjusted person would ever find anything disturbing about that. I suppose their disgust at a semen lake means they also have daddy (or maybe impotence) issues?
  18. GTA 33: Never Too Early

Wouldn't that make next Tuesday the 5th, then?
  19. How has Idle Thumbs affected your life?

Just like everyone else, I can't see or hear the word "wizard" without the accompanying song clip playing in my head. And now when I see something about Jeff Goldblum, I get Chris's "Cool Cool Cool Game" insanity playing, as well.
  20. I might have to throw my boorish American voice in next week. I didn't play too much when the game first came out (for reasons that would fill up a good chunk of space with my ranting), but now that the release schedule is winding down, I'm going through my backlog.
  21. The Dancing Thumb (aka: music recommendations)

    Small does all the guitar work on the show, and he fucking shreds. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DiIRrSM5gHo&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DiIRrSM5gHo&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
  22. PSP

Blech. I like the look and the idea of the Go, but the price is ridiculous. Sony's admitted that it costs about as much as the previous PSP, but they can sell it for more because early adopters are used to paying a premium for new hardware. There's also no reason for full-price downloadable games. If I'm not paying for the manufacture and distribution of a piece of etched plastic with an instruction booklet, I'm not shelling out the $50-60. Sony should tell GameStop et al. to fuck off. The Go is targeted to the "core" gamer more than any other, and those gamers are going to get a Go whether or not their local store carries it. The bit of business that Sony loses would be worth it to put the whinier brick & mortar stores in their place.
  23. Scribblenauts

I failed at intentionally trying to kill a baby. What good are ovens if they don't cook everything made of meat?
