I didn't find too much of a difference between the difficulties. Lazarivic still takes the same amount of sap explosions to kill, but his grenades do more damage. It becomes more a matter of "Do I have enough health to risk hurting him now, or do I run and wait around the next corner?"

Obulis is quite good, and on sale for $2. I bought it without knowing anything other than "it's a physics-based puzzle game," and it's been really fun so far.
-
Yeah, there's really not much difference. It uses all the same models and textures. The only differences are the Source particle system, and the physics. I think enemies ragdoll, and the grenade launcher firing arc is more "realistic," which makes it feel weird at first.

Sam and Max complete pack for $15!

Didn't work for me. Thanks for getting my hopes up.

Me too, but for 4 bucks, I never have to worry about finding those discs. Also, for anyone trying to play Max Payne 1 on Vista/Win7, there's a problem with the sound being choppy/absent. I found a fix here that's working great for me so far. It's basically just a problem with the file format the sounds are in not being recognized by the newer OS. The fix does a quick conversion, and everything should work.

They put 'em back in, at least for the "Enhanced Edition" that's on Steam right now (not that it was very hard to do it yourself).

Good thing I downloaded all the episodes a few months ago. A little while longer and I can start selling bootleg CD's from a van in an alley.
-
YES. You are doing yourself a disservice by not playing it, especially at that price.
-
Both Max Payne games for $3.74? Shit, yeah! At that price, it's worth buying them again just for the convenience of never having to dig up the game discs any more.

I can't remember which games, but I've heard of it a couple times. It happens because the licenses for a lot of non-Valve games are still CD-key-based, and keys are given in batches. Once the current run of keys is used up, it's "sold out" until they can get more. I guess 2K didn't expect Prey to be quite so popular.

The place where I live doesn't have the greatest insulation, and it's the middle of winter. The icy feeling was made even more so because of the occasional chilly draft blowing across the room. I'm no expert on the history of cow slaughtering, but in the story, that event occurs on a Russian ship, during the late 1960's early 1980's. For all I know, that's exactly how it was done.

For that price, I would buy 3 copies of Prey. Although the portal stuff was never really used as a puzzle element, there were a few clever surprises. The game does make a great use of surface-specific gravity, and there are plenty of cool moments made with it.

Fun game, but it pulls a Trine right at the last level. Tons of enemies, not much guidance (in a game that didn't have very much in the first place), and a time limit where there wasn't one previously. Oh, well. Still completed it.

I've downloaded it, but other games have been distracting me. I'm excited to see how the pseudo-Atari levels play.

I bought this game fairly soon after it was released, but just got around to playing it. If you can get over the voice acting and the fact that the engine doesn't seem to have been optimized at all (I built the PC I'm playing on around six months ago, and I'm lucky to get 30 FPS), it's quite a good game. The story and tone during the later parts are completely different from what you might expect from playing the first few hours. I also happened to have FRAPS ready when I found the infamous cow flashback: 0XkAzrNnFao

13 mother fucker! Also 13. Amateur.

A bit disappointed that the achievements don't retroactively unlock (despite the game having tracked a lot of the stats before the update), but I haven't played through as a Destroyer yet, so it gives me an excuse to start.

Pretty much anything from UpItUp records. It's an indie electronica netlabel that offers a bunch of free music for download. Personal faves are Vernon LeNoir, Tracky Birthday, and Drone: mZTtoIH9RLw

So I finally got around to downloading the demo yesterday, and while it may not have been to Last-Remnant-demo levels, the bafflement was intense. I will say, however, that I enjoyed the combat system. I don't have the patience or memory to learn a bunch of combos in order to play a game (which is why I normally don't enjoy games like this), but there are so many combos that randomly tapping buttons in rhythm almost guarantees that you will pull off all sorts of combat moves.

Groov is awesome. I love the music-making element it has. Solar is another interesting one. You play a star moving around a field, gathering planets and moons to battle other stars.

Hey, I already warned you that I wasn't very good. Also, I don't have the patience for anything other than Mono Pro/Ninja, so, depending on the song, there's no way to get a higher score. I'm just content with claiming the thrones of all the rare/obscure music I've got.

Grand Thumb Auto XLIII: Legend of Curly's Gold

Looks sort of like Flight Control. And that box is awesome. -
Totally. I loved seeing all the different computer systems and networks filtered through the Tron lens. And I always found it interesting that my PC was rendering, in real time, a world much more detailed than the one in the movie that required a day of rendering for a single frame.
