YES. This is like how I spent an entire level doing somersaults in Splinter Cell: Conviction.
  2. Obligatory comical YouTube thread

Once or twice, a number of years ago.
  3. Obligatory comical YouTube thread

I'd be extremely surprised, considering that it's on the previous page of the thread...

I love all the logo treatments that the lyrics get.

Yes, that sampled-sax beat does an extremely good job of getting stuck in my head. While I agree that the remainder of the album isn't quite as catchy, I do enjoy it a lot. I've been listening to it and Mr. B's album almost exclusively for the past few days. It is my dearest wish that all rappers from the UK are like them.

I was listening to some of the last few casts and Chris's enthusiasm about the moon reminded me of this: UdenE9NGMxM I can only hope that this is what would've happened if Chris and the gang had been the first ones going to the moon.
  8. Fallout: New Vegas

I had no problem at all with that encounter (assuming you're talking about Nipton). I easily killed the few guys standing around outside and then went into the town hall and obliterated all the Legionaries inside. They've only sent one pair of assassins, and aside from their higher HP/Damage Tolerance making it take a few more bullets, they were just as easy.
  9. Fallout: New Vegas

I switch back and forth from VATS depending on how desperate I am for the fight to end quickly. Geckos and bloatflies aren't that much of a threat, so I usually don't bother. I even had a nice bandit double kill without VATS. Brought up iron sights with a 10mm pistol and made two quick headshot kills within a few seconds of each other. It was the kind of thing that makes you wish you had FRAPS running. Also, is anybody else having trouble figuring out how to play Caravan? Maybe it's just me, but the rules you're given are just vague enough that I sort of know what's going on without being able to affect it in any useful way.
  10. Every RPG Ever Flow Chart

That chart fails right off the bat. I always use something inappropriate and genital-related for my character names, and I haven't been stopped yet.
  11. Fallout: New Vegas

I've been playing for the last five hours. Unfortunately for game-playing, but fortunately for my sleep schedule, it just crashed. I haven't had enough interaction with various factions to see exactly how the reputation system works, but I have already passed through three or four areas with their own reputation ratings. I am liking the more detailed item creation, although it's still early in the game, so I don't have the skills or parts to do more than break down unused ammo and cook a hamburger made of mutated fly meat. I chose a trait at the beginning that increases the likelihood of strange events happening, and I think this is one of those:
  12. BioShock Infinite

So I had sort of a guilt-inducing thought when I watched that demo. Elizabeth seems like a good character, and the player's interaction with her is interesting, even as short as the video is. After you use the debris ball she creates and she's kneeling in pain, Booker says, "You don't look so good," and my immediate thought was "She looks great from here!" because you're getting a nice view straight down her cleavage. Also, download and watch the version that's on XBL. Unless my ears deceived me, it has a 5.1 audio mix that sounds awesome.
  13. YES. Just in time for me to listen to while browsing for porn before going to sleep. I mean, video games.
  14. Upon further consideration, I think that the eye-faxed Screamsheet probably contained a secret message from the Cyber Wizard detailing the latest initiative to free the oppressed technopolis from the circuit-fisted reign of the Cyber Lord.
  15. I finished "Snow Crash" a few weeks ago, and now I'm reminded of how ridiculous some of that cyber-jargon was. That you were able to compress such a large amount of meaningless babble into a paragraph that still seems to make sense is amazing. It must be that bitscream algorithm.
  16. Does the Wunder Boner work on a Day One Perch, or am I going to have to bone it some other way?

At least it would be easier to make the Citizen Kane of games. e1IxOS4VzKM

Shit. Just about to post this. I lasted the whole video. At first, it was a bit annoying because he was just raging at being on the losing team, but then he started winning, and it was hilarious.
  19. BioShock Infinite

Aeroshock. Looking at the trailer again, it seems to me that there's some very deliberate symbolism right at the beginning. The character is pulled out of "Rapture," and then the robot bad guy crushes a Big Daddy statuette underfoot. It whispers "This isn't really Bioshock" to me.
  20. BioShock Infinite

I'm also kind of miffed at the title. It seems more like the result of some marketing person saying, "People know Bioshock, slap that name on it," especially after now seeing the "original IP" quote. I really wish that they had kept closer to "Project Icarus."
  21. Obligatory comical YouTube thread

Yeah, I thought it was kind of neat until it turned into a trailer for (what is apparently) a mediocre "real guitar" game. Also, this: SPWsBwDDupg Ahh, America...
  22. General Video Game Deals Thread

Civilization: Revolution is free for a limited time on the iPhone/iTouch. GO GO GO!
  23. So... what you're saying is that it's really all your fault, and you're a convenient scapegoat? FUCK YOU, STEVE! I HATE YOU! I'M GONNA GO LIVE WITH MOM!
  24. Alan Wake

Just finished the first bit of DLC, "The Signal." I enjoyed how it took place entirely in the surreal "authored" space that the last few moments of the game proper existed in. They still haven't answered my real "what the hell?" moment from the end of the game though: Guess I'll have to wait for the next piece of the story to (hopefully) fill that in.
