No, it just floats around the starfield. I just grabbed that screen when it got close. At first I thought it was the Space Core as a thing you might see before it crashes down, but then it spun around and turned out to be Wheatley.
-
It appears that the Space core wasn't the only thing they added in the Portal mod:

Finished Castlevania: Lords of Shadow over the weekend. Aside from a few missteps ( ), I thought it was pretty good. I'm not that great at that sort of combo-based character action, so I was pleased to be able to get through it without too much trouble on the normal difficulty.

Here are a few random pages of schematics that were laying around my workplace.

A weird attempt to make psychologists/psychiatrist wear wizard outfits when testifying in court: http://bc-injury-law.com/blog/making-psychiatrists-dress-wizards WHY DIDN'T THIS PASS?

I've got an invite, if you're still interested. Also, snagged brkl's Hacker Evolution: Duality key. A few Steam gifts for people to lay claim to: Mafia Puzzle Agent Darwinia Achron The Ship

On a slightly more serious note, this game's pretty fun. I've run through about 4 or 5 ships and about as many new recruits (it's always the new guy that seems to eat it). Sometimes four dudes just aren't enough to handle my *********.

Smashing a ********* is the only way I can achieve orgasm.

Also just got a beta invite. I have basically no experience with this type of game (played a couple of bot matches in LoL before becoming distracted by something else). My team won on my first game, in spite of me. I was expecting a lot of raging at my inexperience, but all I got was a "oh, he must be new."

Scratch SMB off the list, add Mafia, -33% Renegade Ops, -50% Bioshock 2 I'll be online most of today, so hit me up.
-
Most of the coupons are for equal or lesser discounts than the current sale, but most of them also don't activate until the sale is over, so it's more of a rain-check-because-I-might-not-have-the-money-for-it-right-now sort of thing.
-
The MNC thing is just a 3-day guest pass, and the 2 Steam Gift packs are The Ship, all of which I'm good with just giving away. Everything else I either have already or don't care about, so if you wanna trade, let me know.
-
I was having similar problems during the first day of the sale due to the insane server load everyone was causing. My prizes didn't show up until the next day, but they were all there eventually.
-
Previous items still available: Puzzle Agent Achron (though possibly on reserve for Orvidos) Darwinia Additional things: Left 4 Dead -50% Alien Breed 2 -50% Grotesque Tactics -50% The Ball -50% Oddboxx -50% Chantelise I'm not too fussed about the coupons, so whatever anybody wants to offer will probably be taken. Also: the new owners of The Ship are doing a promotion thing, so I have 2 gift copies available. I'm willing to just give these away to the first two people who express concrete interest, so let me know.
-
For your trading consideration: - Puzzle Agent - Achron - Darwinia

It appears to be completely random, weighted more towards getting coal. I've gotten 16 pieces of coal, 2 games (one was on my wishlist, one I already owned), and 1 coupon, and crafted 2 coupons (again, one for a game I already own) with the coal.

I quite enjoyed Singularity. It may have stuck to the Bioshock formula a bit closely, but the fluctuating time in environments and the crazy weapons made it a fun experience.

I've been slowly allocating funds for the last month or so. And today I get my Christmas bonus, so fuck buying things for other people. I wants games! It looks like they've temporarily disabled the gift/inventory system so that the store itself will load, at least.

STEAM SALE IS ON, MUFUGGAS!
-
It looks like it's almost time for another Steam holiday sale wallet apocalypse. A bunch of games are updating with wintery achievements similar to the summer sale ones, so probably another ticket redemption type thing. And by some accounts, it's starting TOMORROW.

I've got some recommendations from the last few months of games I've played with my board gaming crew. Bacchus' Banquet - As mentioned earlier, scheming during a Caligulan banquet. Hilariously cleaned-up (ages 8+), content-wise. Might take a few rounds to get a hold of the mechanics, as some of the wording in the instructions can get convoluted. King of Tokyo - Giant monsters slugging it out and trying to become "either the most famous or least dead," in the words of one friend. Fairly simple, quick to play, and fun. Citadels - Players try to build the highest-value city first, strategically taking on the role of different important people (King, Thief, Warlord, etc.) each round in order to use special abilities to their advantage. Betrayal at House on the Hill - 80's horror movies: the game. Players explore a random-tile-based spooky house, experiencing spooky things and finding spooky omens until one of them triggers the Haunt, one of the players becomes the Traitor, and it's a race between the Traitor and the rest of the Survivors to see who can complete their goal first. It comes with 50 different scenarios, so it will last you quite a while.

So I beat it 10 times, and unlocked a final alternate character. Beating the game with this one's gonna be hard:
-
It definitely starts to slow down when there's a lot of stuff in the room. I had a game going where I had a triple-shot and three "familiars," two of which also fired when I did. Things got really choppy when fighting some of the later bosses.
-
That almost exactly describes my experience with Neverwinter Nights. I almost always play some sort of spellcaster in fantasy RPG's, and both NWN 1 & 2 end up locking you in a small room with a final boss that almost requires you to be some sort of heavy combat class. NWN 2 goes even further and completely removes all your party members so that you can't depend on them to help you. I haven't had any real problems with boss difficulty in DXHR (even with being customized towards stealth and hacking), I just don't like how out-of-place they are with the rest of the game's structure.
