I'm just glad Jared Rea called him out on his outrageous bullshit. He's one of the bigger community names in the east coast fighting game scene, so it might actually have some sort of impact.
-
Yeah, that one's great. Especially how they reduced everything down to descriptions of dialog and it still ended up coherent and amusing.
-
I'm sorry, but that initial exclamation looks to much like "Dong!" to me.

Agreed. The parody of obvious movie cliches got old years ago. HEY GUYS GUESS WHAT MICHAEL BAY MAKES MOVIES WITH BIG ROBOTS ALSO EXPLOSIONS AND ANIMALS CAN'T REALLY PLAY SPORTS HILARIOUS, HUH?
-
Actually, I'm a big fan of electronic music, too. I was just feeling a bit sarcastic and combative when I posted that. I mean, fuck all of you. Forever.

So, you guys like ska? Well, then have I- wait, what? "Not really?" But it's so bouncy, and those horns- How can you not like horns? Okay, fine. What do you like? "Wobble bass?" Oh, you guys are a bunch of fucks. Fuck you all. Anyway, these guys had a track come up on RBN recently, and I thought it was pretty good. They've got a free EP for download, so maybe check them out or something. Assholes. Xqn7f3JQVbc

I interpreted that as a dislocated hip more than shattered femur, but now looking at it gives me the willies.

The only reason I have those is because I had a weekend with absolutely no motivation to do anything of worth. Those arenas are terrible.
-
I was considering a possibly-creepier comment, but then I thought better of it. Because I'm not a terrible person.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution, the Idle Thumbs 2011 goty.cx winner, is one of Steam's weekend deals: http://store.steampowered.com/app/28050/

AW SHIT, SON MCWJUSulnro For some reason, I'm reminded of Illbleed...

Played the first hour or so, and I'm enjoying it. I really like how deep they go not only on "everything has chips," but also the corporation-speak. As you walk around, every little item has a dataverse callout: the HUD is identifying beer bottles, establishing some sort of wireless connection to shopping carts, and showing chip-less people as "hobos." All the levels are referred to as "milestones," and the loading screens give you little infographics about the number of headshots, multikills, etc. you had compared to your best, asking if you're "meeting your goals." The only co-op I've played was during the demo, but even that was enough to show that it could be lots of fun with the right people.

Aw, yeah, you'd better believe I'm all up in that House of Lords! The next 30 days can't pass quickly enough.
-
I haven't played it yet, but I read the documentation, and I'm quite interested in the similarities to House of Leaves. I can already tell that I'm also going to get sucked down the hole of reading everything else on that site for the next few days. Incidentally, everyone should read House of Leaves.

There is a sign-up page somewhere on Uber's site, or you could just redeem the invite I just sent to you. Two left!

I like his sunglasses:

If I lived in the area, I'd do it for free. I'm having trouble keeping myself from doing it right now.

Played through Mass Effect 1 again to refresh for ME3. I went through ME2's intro and kept hitting ME1 keybinds to do stuff, so I'm going to need a bit of a palate-cleanser before really getting back into it.

Uber sent out another round of Super MNC invites, so now I have three (3) waiting to be claimed.

Well, I downloaded the demo on my Microsoft XBOX 360 Electronical Media Entertainment Device, and have had a pretty good time with it. My only real complaint is that a character's race and power loadout are linked, so if you want to play anything other than a human, you have to unlock it.

For some reason I keep seeing this as "sperm trap." That's probably not good.
-
I disapprove of shoes, with or without socks. Also socks.

That page is amazing and exciting. I like the little "Copyright 1996 Idle Thumbs Limited..." in the lower left. Or it could be 1986. It's a little blurry.
