I really enjoyed the game so far. I especially like that the progression of puzzles was a lot more logical and intuitive than I've found in pretty much any other adventure game ( ) I do wish that the choice at the end supported not saving either of the two. Once I realized it was timing out, I figured I'd see what happened, and was disappointed by a game over screen and checkpoint reload. Was it a consideration at any point? I ended up saving Doug (dead [wo]men tell no tales, pun horribly intended).

Just played the first game of Risk: Legacy with my gaming group. The win was taken by a player who stretched their forces dangerously thin and then cashed in a bunch of resource cards before it all came crashing down. I had fun slapping stickers on the game pieces, writing on the board, and tearing used bits in half before throwing them away. We didn't fulfill the requirements to open any of the extra content packs, though, and I'm excited to see what happens when we do.

HA! I played the PC version non-stop when it first came out, and I loved it so much I've bought the X360 version, too. Again, it has destroyed most of my free time. Unfortunately, I don't seem to be able to convince my friends that it's something they should play. I even had to tell my brother that he was dead to me until he played it. I'm holding a memorial service on Saturday.

I've probably been listening to much more Die Antwoord than I should be... 4_pS46YRMIQ 8Uee_mcxvrw

It's especially easy when it appears that half of those clips use the same actors.

I think that would be a Whiz-ard. Been on a ska kick lately, so here's this: ALHybzqaWwg I would totally dress as a wizard if I was in a ska band.

Maximum disappointment confirmed - Prey gets a sequel

Noooooo! This one actually seemed interesting and worthwhile! -
I haven't yet started it, but I just picked up a copy of Risk: Legacy. I've been able to resist the urge so far, but I'm trying to decide whether or not to open the box and take a look at some of the pieces prior to my actual game night. If I heard right, Famous mentioned it during a recent progresscast, and I'm excited to hear Thumbs stories, too.

I have stairs just like that first shot, and my housemate's cat almost always "walks" up them like that. It's funny every time.

I should have been able to come up with that. The only logical reason I didn't is that you have some sort of nefarious psychic mind-drain on me. UNHAND MY BRAIN!

So now there's F. Nick Breckon and Death Nick Breckon. We need to identify the third one.

Mmm, I suppose. I guess Bungie just did a better job of contextualizing each story, tying them together, and giving characters some depth and personality that I could actually care about.

Did anyone else start singing along with the song? No?

I was already quite apprehensive about the prospect of a non-Bungie Halo, but now the CoD-ification of multiplayer has dumped all interest down the drain. The reasons I enjoy Halo multiplayer are in fairly direct opposition to how things are done in CoD. Can't wait to see the story mode that skips between Master Chief, Nameless ODST who gets glassed halfway through the game, and Badass ONI Operative who has to make a slow-mo kill on the big bad to win the game.

I didn't know they were doing reviews of my genitals! But yes, I was just about to post that.

Didn't it go that way a year ago?

What was the most Idle Thumbs thing to happen without Idle Thumbs?
Korax replied to I_smell's topic in Idle Thumbs Episodes & Streams
Does it count as "without Thumbs" if it just happened? Because this: TB1zJU08IiA -
As Americans, I'm sure the vast majority of people who will play this are also not familiar with the setting.

I got it yesterday and played a couple hours. It's really fun. And yes, forgiving. At least, not terribly punishing. I'm not that great at these sorts of games, but I never felt like fucking up set me back very much. Runs so far are 5-10 minutes at the very most, so restarting isn't a big deal. And the music's really good.

A bit of a follow-up/response from Shoryuken: http://shoryuken.com/2012/02/29/back-to-basics-getting-beyond-the-drama/ It's a generally good piece, but this but got to me: Looking back at transcriptions from that livestream: How exactly is that not Jared calling him out?

Inappropriate comment about how the trailer and music gave me a Gravity Boner.
