1. Lollipop Chainsaw

I played the intro level, and so far, it's a Suda51 game. Killing greaser zombies with a chainsaw while Joan Jett & Toni Basil play in the background, all covered in a bright candy coating. I'm finding the controls a little bit awkward, but hey, Suda51. I really like how a lot of the violence is kind of Lisa-Franked: your chainsaw trails a rainbow as it cuts through the air, and zombies evaporate into multicolored sparkles when they die.
2. The Dancing Thumb (aka: music recommendations)

The Canterbury Tales Remixed from Baba Brinkman. A hip-hop retelling of some Tales, along with Gilgamesh and a bit of Beowulf.
3. Non-video games

WIZARD!
4. Diablo III

Pages don't drop until Nightmare, Tomes of Jewelcrafting/Blacksmithing drop in Hell, and then there are Tomes of Secrets in Inferno (I assume). I've maxed Shen for Hell, and am close with the blacksmith.
5. The threat of Big Dog

Now Big Dog will have something to chase other than us.
6. Diablo III

I've got my account linked to an authenticator, and haven't had anything happen to me yet, but a friend using Blizz's call-in authentication had his account broken into, and then found out that the call-in one apparently doesn't link to Diablo 3 in some way. So, heads up, maybe.
7. Far Cry 3

"The graphics will immediately astound you." "A massive game world." I like how the quotes they're using to excite people don't really have any real qualitative analysis. There are things in this game. GET UP ON IT.
8. The Sense of an Ending

So... I didn't really like this book. The first part was reminiscent of Albert Camus' "The Stranger," with the narrator just sort-of-objectively relating things that he remembers, while making damn sure that the reader knows this is only his memory, and how faulty the human memory is. The second part is mostly him dealing with someone who is so combative and abrasive that I don't understand why he didn't just stop, forget everything, and get on with his life. I didn't find either part to be particularly interesting or engaging, and if the book hadn't been so short, I probably wouldn't have finished it at all.
9. Non-video games

This seems like it could be of interest...
10. Diablo III

I don't find this to be true at all. I guess the smith and Shen are okay, but the hirelings are all cliched character archetypes that make me want to gouge my eyes out whenever they speak. You've got the intelligent-yet-naive enchantress who's been "away" long enough that she doesn't quite understand how everything works, the rakish thief with a heart of gold, who hides a dark past, and the idealist zealot, who starts to realize that the things his organization have been telling him all his life might not be entirely true, and that he should learn to think for himself. Even the hireling interactions are cheesy and predictable. The templar and the thief don't like each other, grrr! The thief is trying to "corrupt" the enchantress (and possibly bone her). The templar and the enchantress? Here's a reenactment of some of their initial "development," with my response: And the templar's voice acting is one of the most over-the-top performances I've heard in anything, ever.
11. The Walking Dead

"Trailer declares 'June,'" declares Telltale Games!
12. The Walking Dead

Looks like Telltale hit video game gold (cool cool cool game), and sold A MILLION COPIES! Congratulations to them!

I gots one far ya. Sending it via PM.
15. Mmmm, I love it when you whip it out in public. All those hot scoops everywhere...
16. Diablo III

26 more minutes for those of us in the US. Being one hour off in Mountain Time, I don't mind waiting for midnight PST, but it's pretty ridiculous for those stuck waiting until 3am EST.
17. Gone Home from The Fullbright Company

Scoops talks to the Giant-Bombsmen.
18. Post your face!

Definitely looking for things that are long...ing.
19. I'm rooting for the Denver Gold Bullion.
20. Wizard: Master of the Wizardry

THERE'S DLC CALLED "POWERFUL LORDS." I feel like we're being watched...
21. Recently completed video games

Rage. Kind of disappointing. Continuous texture pop-in despite being on PC, even after all the potential patching time. The ending seemed like there was supposed to be another two or three missions that were lopped off without accounting for the change in the flow of the story. Sword & Sworcery. Pretty good. I liked the phases of the moon thing, and even waited out getting the Bright Moon Trigon instead of cheating.
22. Gone Home from The Fullbright Company

Was it Steve who talked about playing The Last Express on one cast, and his interest in a small-but-very-detailed game space? 'Cause that's what this seems like. I also want to see some sort of "tiptoe" button, so I can ease up and peer fully into that top dresser drawer. WHAT'S IN THAT DRAWER?!
23. Show me your desk/gaming space

Dresden Files? WIZAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARD!
24. Hot Scoops, Inc.

Or The Fulbright Company, I guess. Can't wait to see what they do!
