DON'T NEED ARMOR IF YOU NEVER GET HIT More seriously, I brought Iron Flesh and 20 hits of Estus to the Nito fight, and just tanked the damage while blasting him with fireballs. You also take a fairly large amount of damage just from the drop into the arena, so make sure to heal it up as soon as possible.

There's an option in the menus somewhere to just unlock everything in the studio without having to play through the game, if you're getting impatient.

FRACT transporter crash course (hidden for those who want to figure it out on their own):

Killed Seath a couple days ago (those damned caves were harder to survive than the boss), took care of Nito and the Four Kings today. I'm making my way down the demon ruins and just killed Ceaseless Discharge, too. Man, do I love my Lightning Zweihander. It's so bad. I just hit 70, but I'm packing it in for the night. If I'm still in range, tomorrow would be doable.

After a couple false starts since its console release, I finally got into it last week. It not only clicked for me around Blighttown, but it seems to have dug its claws deep into my Spelunky gland. While its obviously not procedural in the same way, the learning about environmental hazards and enemy tactics through experimentation, death, and relatively quick repetition hooked me. The only thing more satisfying than finally making it down to Quelaag's lair was pulling off a careful and considered battle where I defeated her on my first try (GET FUCKED, QUELAAG!). The game's been lurking in the back of my mind since. Thinking about how I'm going to upgrade my Zweihander as I fall asleep. Keeping a wiki page open in the background at work so I can read item descriptions. DS2 is already nestled in the bowels of my PC, but the call of NG+ might be strong for quite a while...

Completed a Hell run on today's Daily. I might get back into the habit of recording my runs, but I'm mostly indifferent about it, so...

I managed to complete a Hell run on the Vita daily today while quite appropriately watching the X-Files episode "Hell Money." Then it turned out that somehow I lost connection to the PSN servers despite just sitting on my couch the whole time, and my stats didn't get put on the leaderboard. Hopefully my PC run will go as well as that one did.

Same here. I'd love to see more people on the PSN leaderboards - PSN ID's LordKorax.

I haven't recorded in a long while, but I have been keeping up with the dailies. After ballsing up yesterday's run on 1-1, I COMPLETED A HELL RUN ON TODAY'S! I've made it a few other times during non-dailies, but man, it feels good to do it during the challenge. Also, I had two or three close calls on Hell-2 (5-2?) because there was one area just filled with spikes and vampires.

Started off really roughly, and managed to get the Ankh, die on the right level, and even get the Staff! And then I kill myself when a bolt from the staff re-targets on me after I shoot it at a teleporting crocodile man. Which I chose to try to kill after finding the entrance to the City of Gold... Damn it.

Xtt0ZezljHk 2D adventure-gamey psychological horror. Just came out today for US$10 (or a $50 special edition). I haven't played it yet, but RPS seems pretty sweet on it. Links and such on its homepage: http://www.lonesurvivor.co.uk/ A demo on Kongregate: http://www.kongregate.com/games/superflat/lone-survivor-demo

In which I botch my first real attempt at a Hell run by panicking and wasting the Ankh. And before anyone asks, I didn't waste all the shopkeepers because it always goes poorly for me. Also, EAT IT, BEES!

SO ELATED First time I've ever reached the temple, first time I reached Olmec, and I fucking beat him! On a Daily Challenge, even! Video to follow once it's uploaded! EDIT: Here we go! Man, watching this again makes me realize how many close calls and reckless moves there were.

Mein Thumbcraft—IdleT Dedicated Minecraft Server

Default Minecraft allows for a limited flight ability, activated by pressing the Space bar. It is a bit short-lived, but can be extended based on the relative difference in the elevation of your starting location and your surrounding terrain. -

To make up for lack of disaster, I offer up Chris Remo's run from yesterday: ...and my equally-baffling incompetence for today:
-
Aw, man. I was hoping for some hilarious disaster.
-
I can't wait to see what happened to Patrick.

I was doing just fine and then I misjudged my distance from a tiki trap.
-
I played warmup games, and this still happened: Blargh.
-
I should've done a few practice runs first...
-
Woo, jungle! Also, DAMN IT.

GODDAMNED DARK LEVELS I'm pretty proud of that bomb toss, though.
