Well, i'm terrible at dota2. Dem bots:( I'm finding it a struggle with the interface. At one point i got infuriated at my character not moving and wondered why my teammate was chasing the donkey around when i discovered it was because i was controlling the donkey at that point. There is very little feedback on your skills (last game on viper, it was hard to tell when my poison spit was being cast) and very little feedback on your status (stuns etc.). My character kept moving forward when i wanted him to stay still. The space bar zooms to a random location and then back to your hero on the next press. Other things i had trouble with was the denying, and just the whole damage and mana dynamic they have going on. I used my stun on skelly king and over half my mana went with it. Too many times i attacked when there was creeps nearby to retaliate. The shop is insane. Getting stun locked from 100% to 0% health is nasty too. I just don't know the abilities to see them coming. It was all a big CF and it made me cry. However, killing things with skelly king was awesome, so I'll be back:) Edit: Much of this is probably just me being terrible.

I always feel like such a philistine when this game is discussed. The BG series hit the right gameplay/plot balance for me in this sort of game. I found PT to be far too wordy for me (and I am a voratious reader of books), while the Icewind games all feel hollow. I gave up to PT after getting to the brothel. It might be just that BG was one of the first games i went utterly banana's for ruined all else.

Since I'm disasterously behind the curve, I've picked this up and i'm loving it! Anyone interested in some multiplayer on the PC?

I'll have to check when i get home. i do enjoy the game, but i have to leave it be for long stretches where i play less nasty games!

Maybe work on your coujouring? I'm not sure of the ethics of hiring mercenaries and summoning demons to hack your enemies to pieces thouhg. Sounds like a fantasy mob boss:P

When i saw this bumped I logged in to post exactly the same thing! I used to like it so much back before they started the new version beta. ain't played it since, but i'll totally pick it back up for a gander.

Anyone still playing this? i see Gwarden pop up on my friends list (EU West) sometimes is about all. I'd say a thumbs team could break our way into the 1200's/low 1300's for deffo:P

You obviously don't understand freedom of speach. Obviously. I'm so glad that my major interaction with the online community was throuhg my WoW guild. i was one of the younger players (at 27) so any of that sort of shite got called out pretty quickly and dealt with in an appropriate manner (or an epic gquit from the gobshite). Playing LoL a bit now, there doesn't seem to be much sexism, but "fag-tard" (+ combos) and "uninstall and kill yourself" seem to be pretty par for course. I usually just hit ignore on them and report them after the match. The odd thing is, if you don't ignore them, the same people telling you to kill yourself will later compliment you to the nines for a single good play. They don't seem to have any breaks on their emotional rollercoasters.

I don't think the meta suits her very well either. Gwarden, i see you pop up every so often on my friends list. we should have a thumbs game. I play support mostly (janna atm), but i don't suck terribly at other places. New computer arriving in the next week. I'll do my best to get on the DOTA2 beta then:D

Can't you just set the resolution higher, it displays more of the game rather than render differently (does that make sense). i replayed BG2 a while back, but my game bugged in the underdark so that my party would pause every few steps for a second. it made me think i was having many momentary sezieurs so i stopped playing. also, any know if temple of elemental evil ever got fixed up?^^ first time i played it i was unable to loot anything, ever.

There was, but I can never ever remember what the hell I was doing a few hours ago and always just abandon it:( That said, i only play the easy levels since i can only play it on my mums DS when i go to visit:P she is powering throuhg.
