What a dreamboat. Anyhow, I'm reading the books to make sure I have my terminology. The great thing about java is that it is taught quite a bit in uni's and i have previously come across quite a few projects and assignments i can try out myself. After that I'm going to reimplement some of my GUIs from work in Java/C++ to compare with Matlab (none of which are done in OOP). Thanks for the links Thunderpeel and Elmuerte. I'll deffo check out your one Elmuerte since I want to work on my tech speak.

Got it, I had to go to the controls menu and hit reset. Oh well, its much better with the controller:) I love the mariachi music and the dancing.

The PC demo won't detect/let me use my 360 controller:( Also, i seem to be playing as some sort of wizzard instead of rayman.

I've started the Java tutorials that Kroms linked. Very handy on my tablet as i do the tutorials. My Hello World! went without a hitch. I'm pretty much an expert now. Thanks for all the recomendations.

We should try a diplomacy game. not real time, but oh so nasty.

I've just realised that people might be building designs that look far different on their computers than they do on mine. Almost tempted to randomise the block skins and make something to see what it ends up like^^

The best would have been if one person got all their men trapped in dead end roads right at the start and you made him get all the tea.

But i ended up with Nature's Prophet caus i paniced in random draft. I'll never play him again because of that, and if i'm forced i'll hide in the forest and cry. I bet the enemies were more like Nature's Profit AMIRITE?

I won't play, but I have 100 credits in the game if ye want me to set one up. Can i set one up and not play myslef?

I've been playing it on single pick. It gives me that little extra wiggle room to select a champ i hopefully won't be terrible one. Yesterday I picked Saladar:(

When i was able to get online i didn't have much trouble with the connection bar a few blips here and there. I could clearly see one of my teammates stuttering around at one point though. I played WoW for long enough to be wary of Bliz's servers.

Did anyone else try out the free weekend? I got a monk up to level 10 and a witch doctor up to level 8-9. It was ok, I was going to start a barb but stopped after a few minutes because I didn't really care too much for playing any more. I don't really like the art style too much. It can be difficult to see what it going on. The colours all seemed to flat and washed out. The witch doctors flaming bats spell looked pretty janky too. Maybe there was still some placeholder textures going on as the same characters aoe snare thing was very nicely done. The attack sound effects (especially on the witch doctor) got old very quickly. I also completely failed to engage with the story. It could have been an epic quest to find the next quest beacon for all I knew. It's also time to reveal that i never liked Decard Cain's voice. Normal mode (act 1) was extremely easy and this made me pretty nonchalant about checking the blues i picked up. The best fun i had loot-wise was upgrading my blacksmith and playing with that. For the classes, i found both the witchdoctor basic nukes that i got access to pretty clunky. I never really felt like i was doing much interaction other than lobbing some crap at the mobs. Looking further up the skills tree he has some fun looking stuff though. The monk was much more fun to play. She was very mobile and could zip around the battle in a jiffy and had some knockbacks to add a bit of chaos into the proceedings. I'll probably skip on this until the price comes down, unless I have some friends to are going to be playing it. Needless to say, it will probably be a lot of fun if you are shooting the breeze on skype with a few peeps. Edit: boss battle was fun, but it went on too long for a boss with two simple mechanics.

The diamonds only appear at very low levels and near lava (not 100% sure of that one). Most ores etc. are found more at low levels. Also, i left you some presents in a chest in your amazing tree farm.

I'm enjoying it so far:) I especially like the little victory dance. I've come across a bug. When i met the . The screen never faded back from black after that and then the game froze. I was left with the side menu bar and a black screen. I had to clear the app from the task manager and restart it. the next time, the event happened fine, but the game froze after i went through the door. Third time was the charm and i didn't have any issue continuing. One other thing, i would love to be able to move the menu bar. I've hit the buttons a few times accidentally, including one hit of the reset when i had just about cleared a room.
