I am Iron Man (Is there a doctor in the house?)
Hermie replied to ThunderPeel2001's topic in Idle Banter
I hear that if you take the whole bottle at once, you get superpowers. -
Pretty much this. He could learn a thing or two from the Realtime Worlds blogger guy.

Ok, since we KNOW we are restarting, and not immediately, should we plan some giant hardcore collaborative project?

Dragon Age didn't have a good/evil slider. The only sliders are the influences of your team mates, which granted, are still extreme and gamey (I gave you 10 spellbooks, now sleep with me), but when it comes to the rest of the game world, you can freely be a douche or a saint without seeing "+2 evil" pop up above your head.

Comic Jumper: The Adventures of Captain Smiley
Hermie replied to Tanukitsune's topic in Video Gaming
I love this game, but I hate this game. It's friggin' fantastic, but also horrible. I want it to stop, but I never want it to stop. -
Hey, I heard there were guys here that was waiting for Deathspank to hit the PC? Pre-order up, releasing Oct. 26. I might go for the Shank & 'Spank double pack.

I will remix everything. EVERYTHING!!!
Hermie replied to Snooglebum's topic in Idle Thumbs Episodes & Streams
Excellent! I have considered doing the same with Photoshops, starting at ep.1, but first I need more hours in my day... Also, once I get disposable income, I'm pretty sure I will buy your album blindly just because of the awesomeness you have provided in the past. -
I wonder, do the Steam Wallet/TF2 micro-transactions count as one, maybe two?

As a side topic, I really wish manufacturers would band together and come up with an updated keyboard layout. The giant delete key is good, because really, fuck Insert hard with a broken bottle. Print screen is handy, but his buddies scroll lock and Pause/Break? Time to retire. What else could be done to optimize keyboards?

I'm using the G15, and find it pretty fantastic for most uses. It's illuminated, the keys feel nice and solid, and it has that handy LED screen that displays the time/CPU & RAM usage/what's playing/game stats/whatever. I haven't used the programmable keys much (in fact, I use the bottom two for copy and paste), but you now put the thought into my head of making some sweet SCII macros. Also, and this is an even more dorky cosmetic thing that doesn't really matter than the LED screen, you can disable the windows key so that you don't accidentally pop open the start menu while gaming. And it's even a physical switch, with a joystick on it, so it feels so hardcore when you launch a game, put your sunglasses on, and flick your keyboard to "game on" mode. So yeah, if you were considering the G19, I can definitely recommend the G15 as a viable alternative.

I beat Nelson Tethers: Puzzle Agent this weekend, due to the iOS version being on sale. (It still is, for 1$) Like people said back then, some of the puzzles don't always give you enough information, and the art looks kinda awful downscaled at points, but other than that I pretty much had a blast playing it. I was really surprised and pleased when they suddenly decided to interrupt the puzzle solving part with a sudden piece of narrative. Those parts of these types of games are usually kept totally separate, so my brain hadn't even considered that a puzzle could get interrupted. Well played, Telltale. (PS, Monkey Island Special Editions are also 1$, as well as a bunch more.)

Yeah, agreed. I kinda hate that they are put to a lower standard (for everyone else, people will often say something is good... "for being Norwegian". Basically it's the "for a Wii game" syndrome). Also, just about every Norwegian movie is about buddy buds who are buds, but then there's a conflict, but then they are buds again. (see: the film "Buddy".) I'm curious about Arne Treholt og Ninjatroppen, though partially because a guy I know did a lot of stunt-work on it.

Scott Pilgrim FINALLY appeared here! I found it totally worth the wait, possibly to no-ones surprise. I wont keep ranting, as everybody is already bored of discussing it. Other things: -Expendables was meh. I pretty much agree with what has been said in the thread before, the good moments was only because it was those guys. -First two episodes of Boardwalk Empire are pretty damn fantastic, especially the Scorsese direction of the first one. I hope they keep up the quality and pace, and don't get drowned in melodrama. I've also been dow... watching everything with "1x1" on it. Lots of middling procedural crime dramas. One that stood out was "The Whole Truth", where instead just following the pure prosecutors/police detectives, or the heroic defenders, helping the innocent, but following both sides of the court, not revealing if the defendant is guilty until the very end. The characters are pretty stock, but this twist will have me watching at least a couple more. The new Hawaii five-0 is kinda empty action fun. (And yes, they kept the theme song.) There's also No Ordinary Family, that's... Well, it's basically live action The Incredibles. It also has a light-hearted attitude, none of the Heroes-style staring-at-each-other-for-long-stretches-before-delivering-a-line-about-how-important-[blank]-is. Rather it's "Hey, we got super powers.... Sweet!". We'll see how it progresses. Toblix, you're a Stavanger-person right? Gonna see Nokas?

Happy BirthayPoo! I bought you a new mast for your battleship (if you know what I mean (I don't)).

I really like the cardboard sleeve for Brawl: And the Japanese Other M cover was pretty damn sweet.

Hah, you can totally see the H I put on my roof. Victory!

To make it look even more like a hippie beach house. o/

Ok, now that the sounds are back, I completely understand why 'blix found the game terrifying. What the hell is up with the random squish noises?

Noo, it crashed, and now it wont just auto-accept my log-on. ;_; And JUST went Erwin burned down his cottage and the surrounding tree. PS: nobody bring fire near my precious beach house.
