We're doing it over skype, yes. Me and Jens are Norwegian, the boss is Irish, and the host and a couple of others are 'mericans. So the only way we could do it with people in the same room is just me and my friend (which we still might do at some point, but in a smaller scale). That's why I asked about tips to eliminate the "skypeness", because I know some people here (like Jon Cole) do podcasts themselves.

Ok, so we made a podcast. It's our very first try, so we're very welcome to feedback (especially from you guys, since very thing that brought you here is that you are a fan of a quality podcast.) Are we too structured/rushed? Or going on too many tangents? Do we cover everything we set out to? Do we need more editing? Less? What do you think of the background music? Any tips for avoiding the skype problem of "well.. uhm.. I... no, you go... no, YOU go..."? Is my accent extremely annoying? So yeah, would really appreciate some constructive feedback, even if you hated it and never want to listen to us ever again.

You played it on the PC, right? how did the controls work? The 4-weapon system seemed fairly specific to consoles.

Yeah, I'm so pissed at myself for it, but getting imaginary computer items has me stupidly excited. <.<

What those guys said.^ Also, while it's less now than before, there's a huge difference between between XBLA and PSN, both in offering, and even in the "tone" of the games.

Well, if it wasn't clear before who Kinect was aimed at, the intro video to the dashboard update certainly made it obvious. It was like the WiiMotion Plus all over again. "Pay attention to the bottom of the screen to see which buttons you can press."

I heard somewhere on the internet that if you that string of characters into the Minecraft editor, you get Red Herrings as items, that you can transmute.

He had a guest role on Rescue Me last year. Granted, his character was in a wheelchair, but it was still encouraging to see him acting again.

Nope, Steam only has the Windows icon on it.

Oh wow. Writing about Back to the Future, I suddenly noticed the actual title of the Poker Night press release. "Telltale announces the Citizen Kane of poker games". Also, instead of an "about Valve" section at the bottom, there's an "about Mann Co." Over/under on Jake shenanigans? How did not a single thumb catch this before? Disappointed.

Hope I provided good suggestions! What else did you end up doing?

It's not that the kids neither trick nor treat, it's that their parents tell them to stay away from the houses of the creepy nerds.

Just finished Costume Quest as well. I'll gather my thoughts in a review at TGV pretty soon, but I pretty much agree with miffy and muerte, kinda simple, but very very charming and sweet. Curious credit notes: -I noticed that Scott Campell only appeared under "addition concept art", which makes me suspect he's on one of the other teams, which makes me excited to possibly see a game come out of his mind. -Will Wright got a special thanks. "Adjective Animal" was too long of a studio name. =( I settled on "Wacky Animal", but I kinda feel like that sounds too much like what a studio might actually be called. <.< This game keeps surprising me with how deep it is. When I had unlocked the Art type, it was listed as fairly popular. So I thought I would crank something out with the two most popular genres and types, Art and Action RPG, with the added bonus that this sounded hilarious to me. But as it turns out, it made the morale low on my team, meaning they didn't work as hard, and my secretary told me such an odd combo wouldn't sell well. So, I ended up canceling it and ended up making a Puzzle Reversi game. "Revello" went on to sell more than the next three titles I made after that, and won the "best graphics" award, and also boosted my fans in the 40+ age range a lot. My gripe so far is that while it seems a lot of this depth is there, it's not always showing it to me. Like the bars you fill in with niche/mass appeal, game world/polish etc. How do these affect the sales and the review scores? does the one column speak more to critics, or is it just about finding a balance?

Oh, now I'm sad cause my combination of those two images wasn't as good:

I, like many here, was also turned off by the "push forward and A to advance cutscene"-ness that the demo leaves. But a few points made me reconsider it. -Steve Gaynor seems to like it quite a bit. As this game was coming out, I was listening my way through the 'casts again, and I heard lé Scoopse voice the exact same fears about Uncharted 2, and then I noticed that he was praising Enslaved on twitter in the present. -Lately I've been so interested in cool systems in games, that I almost forgot how interested I am in the potential of the medium as a story-telling device, and I hear from many that this has a very solid story that will make you want to play through it. -Something Jeff Cannata said on Weekend Confirmed that doesn't relate to the game itself, but is still an angle I hadn't considered: "Support original IP". I don't think I will pick it up quite yet, but after realizing these points, I'm definitely more on the positive side than I initially was. If I have a hole in my gaming schedule (man, everything was postponed until 2011, and there's STILL too many games out around now.), then I might pick it up, especially if there are more positive sentiments from Thumbians, since I know just about everyone here are actually aware of the narrative/system balance and how a game manages it.

I don't know quite why people are confused about what F:NV is. Incremental updates on the same engine, but in a new setting; it's GTA: Vice City. I initially wasn't excited about New Vegas, but as the release ramped up, I realized that there had been just enough time for me to be really excited to play more of Fallout. Heh, +1 for Obsidian.

Right, then one of them is probably Polaria, the artic sea musem: It's cool, they have seals and stuff. o/ There's also the "Artic Cathedral", if you like fancy buildings: Then again, you can see it from most parts of the city, maybe not necessary to look at it up close? Another cool touristy thing is to check out the mountain lift, for a great view of the whole area: For eats, you of course have to go to the restaurant where I used to work, Vertshuset Skarven! There's a pub in the first floor; if you want the traditional Norwegian fish meal, that's the third floor, but if you're more like me, you prefer the steak house in the second floor.~ And as I recall you like rock/metal (well, you're Finnish, so duh), then you should check out BlåRock, a pub not far from the brewery. They play great music, have the walls covered in rock memorabilia, and serve some great burgers.

Dude, I'm from Tromsø! If you read this before/when you go there, I would be happy to give you some cool tips! Too bad you're not going around Christmas, or I would be present. o/

Speaking of anonymous employees venting on their blogs... http://icefrogtruth.blogspot.com/ This one is from a supposed Valve employee about how Icefrog is a douche?
