I won't be "that guy" intentionally, but we DO have a "Promote yourself" thread or something like that.
Mature in games is down to narrative content in my eyes. Blood/gore/drugs/tits are irrelevant for the most part, because I know it's just a game.

That is one adorable Wizard. What kind of candy is inside?I'm frightened to eat it incase it doesn't live up to the tremendous wrapper.

The most important questions I'd love to have answered would be :
1) How did you get into the job?
2) What made you want to get into teaching?
3) What do you think are the most positive aspects of the job?
4) And on the contrary, what do you think are some of the more negative?
5) What might you do in a typical working day?
6) What would you advise me to do now, as a student and prospective teacher to maximise my chances?
Knowing the country, agegroup of students and where they work/a surname would be lovely, if not only to add an air of legitimacy to my research. Again, if that's too personal, I can just call them John Everyman and Jane Doe. I really appreciate the help regardless, the more research and information I get, the more strong my researc looks. Thanks an absolute bundle !

I'm actively reserving comment until the game is over.

Hello gang,
I have a stupid and incredibly inane piece of work to finish for university, in which as part of my "Professional business practise", I have to interview someone in the field which I want to get a career in when I finish my course.
It won't even be an interview of sorts, it's literally just several questions that will help me out a lot. I can also use it in a small research report about the job I want aswell.
If it wasn't already obvious from the title, I want to be a teacher when I finish.
If any of you are teachers, in any country, any age group of children (Younger grades are better but everything will be lovely). If anyone knows anyone who can help me by answering a couple of questions, please send me a PM via the forums, or even post in this thread if you choose!
Much obliged in advance!

Last Friday I got a phone call telling me the flat my friend and I had been intending to rent had been let out by the landlady behind the agent's back. We'd paid £100 deposit each, which is of course being returned to us, but it still makes me wonder what the point of the deposit was in the first place, and we're both out some small amount of money (he had to pay to get a reference from the bank, and I had bought a weekly rather than a monthly train ticket for the remainder of my time where I currently am, which is not as efficient), on top of which we're back to square one and it's completely messed up my timetable for all this stuff. I don't know how common or uncommon this sort of thing is, as I haven't done much abode-moving before, but it's quite annoying. Everywhere else in the area seems to be intended for couples (which we are not), and has one bedroom much smaller than the other and quite obviously intended for a child or guest or mouse or something. Also, the whole process of finding places and looking at them and working out how much you're willing to compromise is a terrible bore.I know what you mean. Me and a friend of mine are trying to find our own place, and it's incredibly frustrating. We can't get in a university owned halls because as a new student, you can "apply" up until August, but if you're a current student, you need to apply by March, which is completely asanine. We wanted a halls placement because bills are a pain in the arse, but what are you gonna do.
We're now looking for a privately owned place, of which there are many, so I'm not too worried. Plus the fact there's 2 of us, and we're both third years, so that gives us an air of legitimacy as it were, at least as opposed to some 18 year old from London who wants to get "wasted" every night. I forsee a frustrating week or two ahead, however.

http://www.giantbomb.com/quick-look-flotilla/17-2444/I'm going to be a massive nerd and say this was hillarious at how bad they are and how much they didn't understand the combat.
Their first fight that they lost with the three battleships is can be won, I've done it a couple times.
Then for some reason they find a bug where it stuck one player on the enemy side, so Im not sure if thats a bug or if its because the other guy fought him. Its weird. I never played 2 player so it's pretty hilarious.
That video made me buy it.

Very long hours, unrewarding and somewhat low paying work, and often forced to play the alpha of polly pocket adventures, the opening 500 times.
Not entirely sure what it'll be like in the UK actually, they'll have a much easier time in the US.
Also, I think this piece by Steve is pretty good

Is there a reason weapon men always seem to be fat? I considered for quite a while to have the guy with the dark blue shirt as my new avatar. He poses fantastically.Ren fair.

No need to apologize, I was just messing with you. I didn't realize the anime was for your studies, what are you studying...it must be pretty cool.I do "Film and media studies" so I basically use it as a platform to talk about anime and games as a valid medium. Which is why all my work is just about games/anime. I did my final piece for 2nd year on the validity of aesthetics in games as an art form, kind of. It was weird, but good.

It's kind of troubling to me that books is in some miscellaneous section when anime gets its own. Also that books are sort of being equated with television. Not indicative of an objective sense of quality, I just watch a lot more anime for my university degree than I do get a chance to do books and TV. Sorry!

This is the best game.

I love how the dude is demonstrating it in a tie and dress pants. It feels so much more modern and professional then if he were to do it in a tunic."This entire thing is effortless!!"
Then the guy throws his entire body into slicing a melon.

Why aren't we all rushing out to buy these majestic weapons?

Well let's compare games I've just played. I just played Heavy Rain, and for all its flaws or whatever in gameplay, the content in the narrative was a very mature style, whereas my other game, Beautiful Katamari is based towards children, just because of its quirky nature and aesthetics. But yeah, I guess I want a mature story as opposed to...not. Actually, I am still playing spelunky daily...
