  1. Heavy Rain

I never got the Indigo Prophecy retitle (though I have only played the first few minutes of the game), since the US uses Fahrenheit and all.I don't think the US cover is as bad as some of you do, but I definitely think the European cover is much better.
  2. I hate RapidShare

In the future if you need a place to upload/download files less than 100mb, use http://drop.io.
  3. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

Don't think I quite liked this one as much as Call of Duty 4, it was just too ridiculous. I certainly don't play these games for the story, but when it is billed as "the most realistic war experience" (or whatever), you'd think the events are at least somewhat plausible. And then it was way too short, I knew this going in from hearing about it from other people, but still I played on hardened and am not great at fps games like this so I die a lot, and it still didn't take very long at all, especially compared to CoD4 on hardened. But the gameplay is fantastic, haven't tried online mp yet but I've done some spec ops and those are great.
  4. PAX East

Don't think the dates are going to work out for me, too much of a hassle with school still going on to be rushing around for the weekend.
  5. Dragon Age

I think it will be your character if you import, BioWare has done that with Baldur's Gate and soon Mass Effect so that makes more sense. Also, I love it when developers tell us what we like and want. “The vibrant worldwide community of Dragon Age fans will relish uncovering the secret motivations of the darkspawn, revealing how the darkspawn continue to infest the world despite the defeat of the Archdemon.” You have no choice in the matter! I started another playthrough in this and it still continues to plague me with technical issues, having frozen during several dialog sequences. Very frustrating when my computer meets the system requirements.
  6. Black Friday Deals

I bought for myself: Fallout 3 GOTY Edition Indigo Prophecy Deus Ex GOTY Edition BioShock (already owned disc version but w/e) Civ IV And I bought Fallout and Fallout 2 on GOG.com, I was gifted PoP: Sands of Time, and I gifted two copies of BioShock and one Torchlight. I love and hate Steam at the same time.
  7. Merry Christmas!

    Merry Christmas Thumbs!
  8. Steam ruined my life

I also would have offered, and just so everyone knows, it should work. I did that with Left 4 Dead 2 so that some Australians could have the US version, I bought the 4 pack and gifted them the 3 other copies and now they don't have to put up with the censored version. As for what games I am looking at: Steam: Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition King's Bounty: Gold Edition Deus Ex: Game of the Year Edition Indigo Prophecy Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time GOG.com: Fallout Fallout 2 Haven't picked any up yet but pretty sure I will get all of those, the only one I'm on the fence about is King's Bounty, a bit more than I want to pay but still a good deal.
  9. Left 4 Thumbs 2

Pirate did we end up winning today? Sorry I had to leave at the finale all, it was a great game.
  10. Wizaaaaaards!!

    my face :\
  11. Wizaaaaaards!!

12/16 bitches see if you can beat that
  12. goty.cx 2009?

Braid on XBLA was 2008, PC version was 2009. Also, yeah, not played Machinarium but surely Tales of MI is more deserving than a game released 20 years ago with new visuals and voicing.
  13. The Spike VGA thing... Trailers!

Force Unleashed 2 was a pretty disappointing announcement for me. I hope they make an awesome game and I guess it's not surprising when the first one sold over 6 million units but I was hoping for something more original. Green Day: Rock Band: out of all the possible bands they could have chosen, they choose Green Day? Come on. Looking forward to learning more about Halo Reach, the trailer was cool but didn't tell us a whole lot about it, I had already guessed it was probably squad based.
  14. Left 4 Thumbs 2

    Damn public person ruined it
  15. Left 4 Thumbs 2

Don't count on me playing on Sunday, got finals next week so I really must study.
  16. GOTY.CX 2009

Aside from being frustratingly difficult at times, I enjoy combat in Dragon Age. It is so similar to Baldur's Gate, NWN, etc which I love. And it almost requires more micromanagement since you can't queue commands and I just love how strategic it can be. Also, I really liked the 2008 Prince of Persia. Visuals were probably my favorite part, but I still enjoyed the gameplay very much. I have never played any of the other PoP games.
  17. So, how is everyone?

I'M NICK BRECKON For some reason that is one of my most remembered Jake sayings, basically whenever I see Nick's name I think of Jake saying that.
  18. GOTY.CX 2009

I think the pay off to continuing to do all the battles is great story progression and character interactions. There is a reason for (almost) all of the combat, either you are trying to get somewhere, or some other story-related element. The "what happens next" feeling for both the overall story and individual NPC stories is a lot of what kept me motivated.
  19. Wizaaaaaards!!

I started listening to Thumbs from the beginning today, and I didn't realize that "The Wizard" was as far back as episode 2. Also, I like how IGN admits their other designs sucked when talking about this new one.
  20. GOTY.CX 2009

I played the game mostly on Normal except if a fight was too frustratingly difficult when it shouldn't be, then I would swap to easy and back. I would not say the game ever felt like a grind, obviously there was more dying on normal but I didn't go out of my way to kill dudes to level up more, which would be pointless anyways since the enemies scale to your level. I will be playing on easy though in any subsequent playthroughs as I just think it would be overall more enjoyable. I stuck to normal as much as I could (especially for boss fights) because I'm stubborn that way but with this game, while I enjoy the combat very much and I love how much you can micromanage it, I don't like dying and I would probably recommend easy unless you're a hardcore oldschool RPG person (I kind of am).
  21. Left 4 Thumbs 2

Yeah, if we cared about sucking, I hope I would have been booted after my performance as the tank.
  22. Far Cry 2

Noticed that the other day, but when I saw it was 400 pages, I didn't download it, heh. If he made it all the way through the game or close like that though, quite an accomplishment.
  23. Far Cry 2

Damn, just when me and Josip were getting to know each other . Oh well, at least I don't have to do anything over.
