  1. Epic Disney on GameInformer

The Magical Quest Starring Mickey Mouse was pretty great.
  2. Game Train 2009: The Fall

NSMB Wii comes out November 15, and Zelda: Spirit Tracks comes out December 7. Those will probably be the only games I buy this fall, as I am poor and only have a Wii and DS.
  3. There's been a lot of Suicide Girl bashing in this thread, but I have to say, all the Suicide Girls I know are actually quite lovely, classy ladies.
  4. Film editing software suggestions

I edit video professionally and I swear by Avid, but it's ridiculously expensive unless you're a student (then it's only amusingly expensive). They used to have a gimped free version that you could download and play around with, but I think they discontinued it.
  5. To me, Jake sounds a bit like the guy who played Dante in Clerks.
  6. DSiWare

I guess nobody has a DSi? Well, I'm going to participate in this thread anyway. It's not really a game, but Flipnote Studio is pretty great. It's a surprisingly full-featured animation studio, and it's free, so there's no reason not to download it if that sounds even remotely interesting. You can upload your animations to the web straight from the DS. Some people have made some pretty impressive stuff with it. I also just downloaded Art Style: Boxlife the other day and am terrible at it, but it's quite fun.
  7. Scribblenauts review up!

I did, but he wouldn't fit.
  8. Scribblenauts review up!

I'm pretty disappointed by this game. For me the problem is not so much the controls (though they are terrible) as the fact that the interactions that can happen between the objects you summon are extremely limited. I'm usually only able to execute strategies that involve either destroying something by summoning its natural enemy (or a black hole), or tying a rope to something and moving it somewhere else. I feel like by resorting to those methods so often, I'm probably cheating myself out of some of the enjoyment of the game, but none of the more creative things I try ever actually work. Also: I can put a baby in an oven and turn it on, but when I take the baby out, he's completely unharmed! Are we to believe this is some sort of magic baby?
  9. Favourite endings to games.

This is definitely my favorite ending of all time. It may make me super lame, but it has actually brought me to the verge of tears. (The music is a big part of this.)
  10. Super Donkey Kong was the Japanese title for Donkey Cock Country.
  11. GTA Chinatown Wars

Yeah, I've never had a problem with the drug vans. I don't even bother shooting; I just run up and pull them out, then drive away in the van before they can do anything. That's why I didn't expect it to take so much effort to jack the Ammunation vans.
  12. GTA Chinatown Wars

Possibly a stupid question, but anyone know how to hijack the Ammunation vans successfully? Whenever I try, my guy just jiggles the door handle and nothing happens, and they seem to be unfazed by Molotov cocktails.

  14. GTA Chinatown Wars

I just use them as a convenient way to move large quantities of drugs around safely without having to worry about cops, or to quickly "warp" to an area if I'm too lazy to drive there. Other than that, they're not particularly useful.
  15. GTA Chinatown Wars

This is my first GTA game, so I don't have any basis for comparison, but I'm really enjoying it. I'm tempted to go back and check out some of the console iterations, although it sounds like a lot of my favorite features were introduced in this game anyway. Favorite moment so far: I took a cab to meet a drug dealer down at the docks, and after I got out, the cab tried to turn around and drive away, but bumped into something and then just drove headfirst off the dock and sank into the ocean.
  16. New people: Read this, say hi.

    Hi. I'm new.
