At release HD DVD had far more features (which have now been implemented into bluray, Early blu ray players were rushed to release, which at that point were only really fit to be used as display models at tech shows (not having features such as Blu ray live, firmware updates and cd support). This isn't to say that they haven't improved greatly because they have, the PS3 was the only early Blu ray player that had updates and thus is up to date with the current tech.

So, I might just buy an elite, Game have a few good offers on them: console NFS:shift and tiger woods 2010 for £200. I have been wanting a new HDD for a while, plus an extra controller has an advantage.the repair would be £60 a controller £30 and a 120gb HDD £90-£100. The games both are between £30 and £40.

Same here, at release it was far superior to Blu ray, but because of the PS3 it won despite the original feature set being inferior.

I just decided to watch Serenity again (on HD DVD). and I forgot how good HD films looked, Damn.
