I don't know, the first time I played HL2, I hated it until about 30 minutes or so in, seemed like a tech demo until I got a gun.

I never understood the use of beta then a corresponding number, surely the 4th beta would actually be the epsilon build? Pre beta is called the alpha build, so why not continue the model?

So seeing as I suck, and will be reasonably drunk and dressed as ryu from street fighter in manchester tomorrow, who apart from n0wak and JamesM is going on the saturday? Seeing as I will likely get bored of the expo and want a drink. I'm likely to be the only guy who is wearing a grey street fighter 2 shirt, is over 6', with a Nikon SLR and looks hungover. I will need to get back to euston by 1940 for the last train back to manchester.

Well I'm still game, although with wrestles suggestion of Thursdays, I couldn't attend very often. Would any other day be doable for others (I can do anyday apart from Thursday, or Tuesday (GTA), and Sunday is occupied by L4D.

I'm pretty sure we have enough people who aren't playing L4D2 so lets do it, same time same place.

I have no idea to be honest.

So I never really went to an arcade, I have played a few cabinets though, including a gauntlet game (I think) and some SNK thing in a youth hostel, I have been to Trocaderos arcade in london but I never played anything. Again the reason I love arcade sticks is because we had a pair of sticks for our megadrive 2, which was awesome for fighting games (even though I was pretty much dreadful at them at the time, with no concept of combos).

Would it make more sense to do it at 9pm UK time or the normal time for the rest of the world (8pm UK), I'm fine with either, although some people with more obligations may have a problem with it. We could always go from 8pm to 11pm UK so people can join as they want, when it's convienient to them. I'll be online for that time probably, just throw me a message when people want to start, or something.

definately, a stick is far more tactile and responsive to input commands than either an analogue stick or Dpad. Groucho Are you still getting the game, cos I'm tempted to pick it up.

I really don't know, I mean I want the podcast to continue, I don't want skype, I want a similar dynamic to that which they already have. Maybe a break with the possiblity of starting up again with another host (who isn't secretly/openly Jake). The idea of reunion tours would be pretty cool too. But it is completely up to you guys, of course.

So I have now after, 5 weeks of the course, started to do some work towards my 2nd year of Maths, starting on what is considered the hardest course of the year (Partial Differential Equations and Vector Calculus ). with the given notes and lectures being a little weak on examples, I am going through example sheets from the week before so I can dissect the solutions, to uncover how to solve any problem of that type. being able to just sit down for 2 hours with my ipod on going through questions makes me happy that I seem to be on the right course.

I can't believe how much I am enjoying this game, there is nothing that I don't like. Everything is ridiculously slick, and gorgeous. I particularly love some of the mountain tracks, I have even started tuning cars an upgrading (I made my Camaro 825 bhp and able to go round corners). For multiplayer I suggest trying out Wednesday of this week, so then Those that live in the Americas have had a chance to pick it up and play a bit. if this is good with people.

I doubt it, plus if you play with all of the assists on you should be able to stick with other people reasonably well

Yeah I'm up for it. brilliant name by the way, the multiplayer is pretty cool for custom games (really extensive options). Was talking to Miffy about it last night and he seems to be up for it when he gets hold of a copy.

Halo 3 ODST, it's technically an expansion pack.

I'm there for the saturday, and I will be hungover. Should be good though.
