  2. Super Thumb Fighter 4

I can't commit to much for the next few weeks, though I may be around every so often... fucking exams.
  3. It's gonna be like EuroTrip, except less suck

    Park Guell is rad too
  4. Call of Duty: Space Warfare 3

    advanced warfare.... advanced warfighter.
  5. It's gonna be like EuroTrip, except less suck

There are a bunch of cool bars in Reeperbahn in Hamburg, there was an Irish one me and a mate went to with a random couple of locals which gave me a massive glass of Glenfiddich for 6 euros. There was a pretty decent covers band and I met a really cute German girl.
  6. Has anyone done any localisation testing, I've found an interesting job which could be interesting for a summer job.
  7. Beat Hazard

I have learnt the hard way, don't play this game prior to sleep, because sleep won't happen.
  8. An article wot i writ

You know what, I'm fucking fed up with the term mature. It doesn't mean a god damn thing, it can easily refer to a number of things: Adult content (violence, sex, etc), emotional effectiveness or simply the presentation of the story. After seeing a film do I think 'wow that was mature', no, of course I don't. One is more likely to think that it was saddening/heart warming/action packed. Those that seem to think it's important to justify particular games as mature are insecure about being a gamer. The medium can become mature, though when that happens is not clear to those involved at the time, it is clearer in retrospect. Also it's not cool to simply link to an essay which most of us have seen in a dozen or more incarnations already. Title the thread appropriately and give us the conclusion along with a link for those that want to read it.
  9. Halo Reach

    19th apparently.
  10. Halo Reach

Yeah, the game is already incredibly solid, particularly this far from release. The biggest complaints I see are from MLG players who seem to want pinpoint accuracy on all weapons, which is when I think they should go play Starcraft or Quake.
  11. Obligatory comical YouTube thread

    02n2yYBwHXo This is absolutely adorable.
  12. Halo Reach

Mind dropping me a steam IM, PC and Xbox use the same screen.
  13. Halo Reach

I may well be up for it.

  15. Piracy has hit a new low....

Yeah a short while back a guy posted on Telltale's forums with a similar subject: http://www.telltalegames.com/forums/showthread.php?p=288445#post288445
  16. Piracy has hit a new low....

"Jim Sterling can go suck a dick", to quote Pirate.
  17. Piracy has hit a new low....

World of Goo is probably the main reason for it.
  18. Red Dead Redemption

I'm not buying it at launch, it's far too close to my exams to bother.I believe we came to a consensus that 360 is better for Multiplayer.
  19. Piracy has hit a new low....

Do you download an executable twice within a short time, with the exception of massive data loss, or would you simply transfer the file simply with a flash drive?
  20. Piracy has hit a new low....

There is a weird thing where people will expect ore from something that is free than that which costs £7/$10. It could probably be modelled similarly to a parabola. Also with your saying that it could be multiple downloads from one person, I straight up think that's idiotic (the person who would not you) the total size of the files is about 750mb, a usb stick would surely suffice. They also checked the ip addresses of the downloads, which wouldn't be different in the same house.
  21. Backlog Busters

Yeah, I did a little reading into it. I hit my peak of finishing games in the Xbox/Gamecube generation, when I guess I became better at games and could stick at stuff more. it's mostly split into specific platforms. This is what 17 years of gaming has reduced me to. It's not surprising my mum thought I was autistic, when I can remember stuff like this.
  22. Backlog Busters

This is exactly how I see it, I'm half way through lost odyssey 2 years after I got it, the best way to play it. On the subject of backlogs/unfinished games, I made a list of my entire library of games present and past (some have been given away or sold), those finished are stricken through. http://docs.google.com/Doc?docid=0AarfYUC3XVN_ZGZ3amd6bmtfMHhwYzh0cmhi&hl=en
  23. QA/Testing is pretty horrible, but it has to be done, I'd imagine in early builds of the game it is similar to proof reading a book written by a 5 year old. If we didn't have testers we wouldn't get the balance we get in a lot of games.
  24. Idle Thumbs London meet?

Yeah, that's the same area that The Rising Sun is in. Though this recent review makes me think it's not the best idea. Here is a link to the rising sun.
