  1. Sony gets sued.

I think it's simply because we don't care. The PS3 ran linux horribly, those complaining probably want to hack theirs.
  2. What if renting/borrowing became extinct?

I have more games on steam than anything else. I would have missed a lot of games when younger without borrowing them from friends and vice versa.
  3. The Dancing Thumb (aka: music recommendations)

EU1u881YbYU I just got a lot more excited about 2000trees now I've listened to this band.
  4. I think I'll add Telltale games to that. On the topic of Battlefield, that series along with Halo are the only ones I can think of that ave cemented such iconic themes.
  5. GTA 60 Take 2 They own the licence.

I think so, some time over summer would be best for me though.
  6. Life

Over here we don't make a big deal about it, we have a ceremony, but because my high school are retarded they did it when I was in Uni, along with a load of other people.
  7. Also in things where time is slowed to an incredible degree and one were to move the arm of one who is slowed would probably rip their arm off with the apparent force to them.
  8. I thought of that but it would not only make moving theoretically impossible but also breathing. I decided to disregard under the same principle that the Prince's clothes are manipulated so free of effect of time. One could consider that the molecules when coming into contact with the Prince are affected by his perception of time, yet they cannot affect other molecules, thus gasses would not cause a problem. The breathing though would be a problem.
  9. Red Thumb Redemption

It's out on Friday over here, I really hope I get it on Thursday as that is my planned day off from revision.
  10. GTA 60 Take 2 They own the licence.

Take 3? I really need a break from calculus.
  11. (IGN.com)

Wasn't this the video which started all of the Citizen Kane stuff? I saw it close to when it was aired and it kick started a lot of it at least.
  12. Red Thumb Redemption

    360 Patters666.
  13. Assuming time was completely stopped standard physics laws wouldn't apply. With time being frozen all of the molecules would be still, classing it as technically a solid, which in combination with the stronger inter-molecular forces in water than present in Ice should make it stronger. You could also liken the properties of water to those of cornflour when time is slowed to a halt.

The momentum that is built behind solid mechanics, is the thing I mean. I probably mean something more along the lines of the stuff that IW did well was executed fantastically. My view is probably slightly jaded with playing through the game in a long revision period. As far as story goes, was there one? All I know is that I went to a lot of cool places and killed dudes there and in a couple of other places I died. BFBC2 was better for me though. I didn't have to think during the game I just Michael Bayed my way through everything. That is probably incomprehensible with me being absolutely shattered yet unable to sleep.

Modern Warfare 2 :tmeh:/:tup: What it does it does fantastically. I didn't listen to any of the news broadcasts though as they seem to be at odds with the game. Spec Ops anyone? Is it bad I want to watch Die Hard now?
  16. Idle Thumbs London meet?

Really sorry, but I'm not going to be able to make it down. I entirely forgot my first exam in on Thursday, I need to do a ton of revision.
  17. Recently completed video games

There is both tactical and economical micromanagement, DoW II is mostly the former. These will probably help your understanding: Micro and Macro
  18. Recently completed video games

With Splinter Cell I often when encountered with a room with 3 or more enemies, simply took out one guy who was blocking my way, from there hid his body and snuck past undetected, you can do this in Conviction, The reason I gave it a for traditional is due to not being able to do it without murdering someone. The shooting never felt broken to me in the slightest, maybe you just suck at video games . Also macro and micro are very different. Macro is a lot of different things at once, where as micro is to a smaller scale
  19. Yo, if you are up for one sometime over summer count me in, busy with a load of uni work at the moment.
  20. Idle Thumbs London meet?

Holborn would be good for me, I'd be getting in from Euston which is a short walk away. This seems like a good bet, though there is a lot of choice: http://www.beerintheevening.com/pubs/results.shtml/el/Holborn;London/. Another that seems decent: http://www.beerintheevening.com/pubs/s/13/13121/Old_Nick/Holborn
  21. Idle Thumbs London meet?

Monday is doable, if others are OK with it.
  22. I did it! Now what?!

It's the best time in life to get involved in competitive multiplayer.
  23. Post your face!

I fucking love wearing suits, ties included.
  24. Idle Thumbs London meet?

    Is this happening or not?
  25. Life

Feeling a lot of hate towards university at the moment, I am torn between hating and loving my course, I love the material I hate everything else at this point. I have been feeling like just dropping out and getting a job/apprenticeship, something I know I really shouldn't do. I just want to get it all done with, get a real job, meet a nice girl, get married and have kids. I'm 20 for fucks sakes, I shouldn't feel like this.
