http://www.xbox.com/en-GB/support/register-repair.htm is the site for a UK repair, it's fairly simple to do through the Xbox.com support site.

I'm making a concerted effort to get fitter. The past few days I have played walked just shy of 10 miles and played football (Soccer to the yanks) twice. This has a bi-product though: I have lost blood from both of my legs, both yesterday and today, Football and me do not go together until you add slide tackling.

Beatnik games did something similar too, which hasn't been announced, right?

bbX1138 have a good day. I think you're Ben, right?

That's a funny one to be honest.

Not really, it just seems that there is a problem with model retrieval.

This game is fantastic fun. There is rubber banding, which 6 races into the game hasn't been apparent. From what I have heard it has too few tracks. The frame rate is incredibly solid even when everything is exploding. If you like Burnout, you WILL like this. The handling model is great. I'm afraid that having the same release date as Red Dead is going to be bad for this game, which is a pity as it is so enjoyable.

I should have it by then, though I should have it now. Of the regular GTAers only Thunderpeel, Action and Wrestle don't seem to have it. I don't know about a plan though

Yeah, I have taken a laptop to uni for between lectures, we do have our own computer lab though, though most are running on Celeron processors and the network is awful. As I have said before, most of my online resources are PDFs, with widely ranging quality from Bad to great. I could quite easily print them out, but flipping through a load of papers as I frequently do is no way near as fast as using a few tabs on Google chrome. As for notes, I simply couldn't do this as fast on a PC as I can with a pen:

How is the draw distance, ACII was terrible for me. I'm quite interested to see sales figures for this, it's sold out in the whole of the city centre in Manchester, apart from a few PS3 copies. My copy hasn't arrived, which is annoying, though I should get a partial refund for it. please don't be lost in the post.

Just cause 2 is better value for the money, particularly with the upcoming multiplayer mod

Virtual life after death. Weird but interesting.
Patters replied to Armchair General's topic in Idle Banter
Coincidentally it would have been my friends 21st today, if he hadn't died in a car crash in December of 2008. I grieved about that this time last year, nearly throwing away a load of stuff I have worked towards in life. Would I know that if it hadn't been for Facebook, no, would I forget, maybe, should I forget, is the thing in debate here. I don't know where I stand on this, I don't think it's black and white, though if there is any form of abuse it should be removed. -
OK it came back online within the last few minutes, panic over.

The Dancing Thumb (aka: music recommendations)
Patters replied to Wrestlevania's topic in Idle Banter
A few I have only just listened to: Future of the Left, kind of like a spazzier version of early biffy 4cmNy50dHzA Pulled apart by horses, think heavy southern US riffs, then make the singer an angry british guy SzDz5wVs8uw Also seeing as my favourite band (Anthrax) have finally got back on track and got themselves a singer again, Joey Belladonna is back and he's doing a new album! In the past 5 years they have had 4 singers: Joey Belladona, Dan Nelson, John Bush and not Belladonna again. Belladonna has one of the best voices in metal by a long shot. gQl02AatuUw -
Fuck you Manchester University, I can't load your site so I can't revise, if I fail it's your fault.

Tonight 2100BST. Who's game?

We play the standard game, there are cool things in both episodes multiplayer games but they also took out some of our favourite things: Fire truck and Ice cream van races.

Happy Birthday Thunderpeel!

The Dancing Thumb (aka: music recommendations)

Maybe so, but I'm only here for uni, and that's only been for 2 years. The last time they were in the UK was 2008, I missed it due to not knowing about it. -
It's not clear to many if video games which are rented are standard copies or those that have been purchased at trade value.

The Dancing Thumb (aka: music recommendations)
Patters replied to Wrestlevania's topic in Idle Banter
Yeah, I'm lucky enough to have seen almost every band I want to, some exceptions are: Iron Maiden, Public Enemy, Amon Tobin (as previously mentioned, and a ton of smaller bands from other countries (USA, Japan, etc). -
For movies they buy a rental copy, which costs a lot more than the standard DVD.

The Dancing Thumb (aka: music recommendations)

Since you mention the prodigy, I would like to point out how fucking good they are live. Also as you mention Amon Tobin, I'm a big fan, I'd love to see him live. From a while back: -
I wouldn't quite see it that way. I see it in the same way as Microsoft blocking 3rd party (Datel) memory devices. Removing a half baked feature which is a security risk. It's also a feature I expect about one percent of the user base use.
