A new multiplayer game (for the times when left for lobby gets too much)
Patters replied to Armchair General's topic in Multiplayer Networking
We already have Forza 3, GTA4, Super Street Fighter IV, etc. A lot of you guys should give TF2 more of a chance, it's a little confusing with the 9 classes but once you've got it (it doesn't take long) it's phenomenal. I'd go as far to say it's the best competitive game of the past decade. -
Miffy, I love you. In a non-scary non-stalker way.

One left. One left. One left. One left. One left. One left. One left. This time tomorrow I'll be in the pub, done and probably playing awesome board games. Fuck and yes. I'm pretty confident about this one too, I feel much more confident with pure maths opposed to stats or other, mechanics are OK as well I guess.

Read how they are rating it, comparing season 1 (1) to season 3 (10).

Burnout 3: Takedown, thee series was always as much of an action game, this one being the pinnacle of the series. It's on the Xbox live marketplace, though a disc copy should be available incredibly cheaply. It still look pretty good too.

I always forget I have a set of wizard sticks: http://www.firetoys.co.uk/juggling/wizard_lunastix_space.html in a different colour scheme, warning juggling props.

There is a new one due soon. It was supposed to be out tomorrow but Robert has delayed it. It's one guy doing it, having to travel to places to do interviews, edit them along with spending time with his family and you know making ends meet.

Totally agree, Dollhouse had a fantastic premise, but the execution wasn't great, I doubt anyone could ever pull it off without infinite (blizzard) money. Let's not forget that the thing he did before Dollhouse, Doctor Horrible, was fantastic also.

I really suck at this game. L4D2 is a better experience, for me, it has a better flow to it. It's always good to play with Thumbs people I haven't before.

Soundtracks for the video-games, and your most beloved ones

Mario land had a better one. X6CXSTBaUsk Yeah that's right Miffy, fuck you. -
So after reading this article from Tested, I wonder how many people use/have used tech during uni, and what you have used it for. For me the main things I use are a computer, with Adobe Reader and one of these. I wonder if I didn't use so many characters which aren't standard on keyboards if I would change this. I don't really need textbooks, I have a ton of resources online, so I have no need for an e-reader. Maybe my degree is slightly backwards (Maths) seeing as I know that the majority of lecturers insist on chalkboards opposed to whiteboards. What I am asking is: can a piece of tech ever be more practical than a pen and some paper?

Some of my favourites include: Unreal Tournament 2004, This song pretty much sums up the time I have spent with UT. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6HwGqmeMCes&feature=player_embedded The whole Battlefield series, particularly the 1943 theme Chaos Theory The Halo series http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4WtBjHL8KXE&feature=player_embedded Most recently Red Dead Redemption http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fkiyMZnrb9s&feature=player_embedded -
Those things are rad, I wonder if they can be thrown then stay in the air.

The Dancing Thumb (aka: music recommendations)
Patters replied to Wrestlevania's topic in Idle Banter
My main problem is that the album hasn't got any direction, Watercolour sounds like an imitation of a classic Pendulum song. The new drummer just isn't as good as Kodish, he sounds sterile like a drumbox. A lot of the album sounds like generic dance music. Their style seems to be diverging, which is affecting the overall quality of the music. Also I am definitely not against merging of genres, I stand by the Anthrax Public Enemy version of Bring the Noise is one of the best songs ever. If you haven't heard it: CEwKCu0P89c -
The Dancing Thumb (aka: music recommendations)
Patters replied to Wrestlevania's topic in Idle Banter
This is most definitely not a recommendation, but here goes. I used to like Pendulum a lot, particularly around 2008, when I saw them. But Jesus Fucking Christ have the lost their direction completely, there is one song I have heard from their new album which I enjoyed, which I will get to. The entire thing is a mess, they seem to be doing everything at once yet only at competent levels. Both of their previous albums had some coherent structure. For a Drum and Bass/Electro Rock band the transferral to somehow doing a Metal song is absolutely bizzarre, it's pretty comepetent for being a Metal song, but I suspect that is due to the it involving Swedish Metal band In Flames, this being the only song I have enjoyed: wydB0Qez7MY -
The bassist from Slipknot died before coleman, as did Frank Frazzetta.
