GTA LXII - Take 2: Don't tell me you've got something "more important" to do
Patters replied to ThunderPeel2001's topic in Multiplayer Networking
I should be in. -
Microsoft's was kinda meh, I entirely agree with the Gamasutra article that it was successful in what it's trying to do. With the creator of Rez and Turn 10 being behind Natal it could be interesting. Ubisoft and EA were both damn solid, Ubi did more for me. Also Skateboarding wizard: Confirmed.

I'd be up for a game.

Preferably me punching him in the face until it isn't there anymore....

I kind of agree, the art style straight up doesn't appeal to me. The film is worse for me though, I can't stand Michael Cera, his face makes me angry.

Well not really. A generic mouse is generally symmetric. Manufacturers of gaming mice also tend to offer ambidextrous models and Razer have recently released a left handed version of the Death Adder.

Wouldn't IJKL make more sense? then reverse the hot keys order on the number bar?

Which games? GTA: Xbox live Tuesdays at 2100BST (GMT when not in summer) Forza 3: Wednesdays at 2000BST (GMT when not in summer) Left 4 Dead/BFBC2 PC 2000BST (GMT when not in summer) Other games are played sporadically and not at set times, usually the best way to get into these would be by friending a few of those active in multiplayer. You need to be proactive to the point where those who play regularly know you are interested in playing. To play in set games we tend to have a standard host which would be GTA: usually me Forza: Wrestle or me L4D: Armchair, Scratche or others BFBC2: usually Armchair.

It seems a lot of thumbs have Carcassonne on XBLA, from the leaderboards it would be pretty cool to get a full 5 player game going. Miffy and I had a few this morning, it was pretty great, despite both of us being incredibly tired. I would also be interested in playing a few other board games over the internet through http://www.brettspielwelt.de/ if we can get a small group together and use skype for chat.

So my PC was supposed to be collected by a courier today to be shipped home, I arranged it through a relatives business, expecting it to be more reliable. Was it, no. So I proceeded to check the consignment info and lo and behold they say the collection date is on Monday, the date it was supposed to arrive, where I would be 200 miles away. with the reply Incompetent fuck-wits.

Yesterday I played with a bunch of friends, new games for me were: Villa Paletti: A pretty cool, quick tower building game. Saboteur: Again another quick one. It's pretty cool, working on a similar principle of antagonists/good guys, along with the tile matching of Carcassonne.

The core game comes with the original version of river, I picked it up on a whim last night as I couldn't sleep, I'll give you a game sometime as the AI is kinda bad.
-
Does it contain any of the expansions, if it does I would consider it.

dqxTVpX_Zm8 is one of the prime examples, of course they are situational. gpjjV61jTEg is an example of one in practice. The game itself seems as if it weren't meant for competitive play, but the incredible multitude of techniques based upon bugs made it possible. In the same way Smash Bros. Melee, which Nintendo proceeded to destroy for the release of Brawl.

The entirety of fighting games are based upon emergence, the 2-1 combo was a glitch. If you look at MvC2 it's clear that with the core of high level play is based upon glitches, allowing infinite combos etc.

The Idle Thumbs Podcast Episode 7: Remember the Airfield
Patters replied to Sombre's topic in Idle Thumbs Episodes & Streams
I dunno, I helped move my dad's studio a few years back to his new house, The mics weren't too bad, though they were free standing ones. The mixing desk was the biggest problem, though this one is 1.5 metres by 1.5 metres. I kid, of course, I can see how annoying it would be to disassemble it and reconstruct it for a few days. -
YES I FUCKING AM. Especially with exams over.

Halo, particularly 1 and 2, friends and I spent hours upon hours exploring the environments, trying and often succeeding in getting past barriers which were similar to invisible walls, kill barriers. Particularly the following things: The Silent Cartographer (H1): you could take a Warthog when you went inside. From there it was possible to jump said warthog over a gap, when bailing from the 'hog you could land on some part of the environment. From here you could make your way further down making use of the co-op spawn system. Headlong: It was possible to force your way through the invisible ceiling by having one player stand on top of a banshee, This climbing could be continued by having one player stand on top of another getting the top player to jump, then the bottom, then the top to jump again when he lands on the bottom.

A few friends from uni started a facebook group "Petition to make magic bus drivers wear wizard costumes" which is actually now happening for charity, I'm amazed. http://www.justgiving.com/Stagecoach-Manchester
