I think you misunderstand the nature of the Reaver threat, they don't need to look "shocking and unsettling in the extreme" they are homo sapien by their very nature, but they have lost the "human" part. They naturally would look pretty shit, I assume, as their ships would likely resemble slums. They would get by with whatever they have. It shows that their nature isn't completely dissimilar to those of humans. Besides, to me, the scariest creatures in film and literature would be those that are very close to humans: Pod people, Zombies and Serial Killers. All of these appear human though there is something missing, which is where the fear stems from.
  2. Neptune's Bountiful Pride 3

Game's gonna be a good 'un
  3. Couriers are fucking shit

my uncle paid for it through his business.
  4. Life

Not true. I entirely bypassed that and ended up in an incredibly bad place last year. I'm not going to pretend to know a single thing about this shit but not focussing on something will often make it resurface at a later date with worse repercussions.
  5. Neptune's Bountiful Pride

I'm partnered with red and purple and yellow and brown to a lower extent, I'm sending a big fleet straight through orange, he attacked me so I'm going to attempt to destroy him.
  6. Neptune's Bountiful Pride 3

So how shall we do the names, PM Murdoc with up to 3? possible user names and he proceeds to send out one to each player?
  7. Neptune's Bountiful Pride

I'm in a free game and I think I might be fucked: I'm in several alliances, I'm keeping my weapons already being levelled up as an ace in the hole.
  8. Neptune's Bountiful Pride 3

I was more thinking of each of us using a name of our choosing and not revealing it?
  9. Portal 2

Portal was 3-4 hours, 2 and a half for me. It wasn't as long as either Halo 3 or CoD 4, which were both in the 6-7 hour area.

The creator put it this way:
  11. Couriers are fucking shit

Yeah everything is working, luckily. Unlike a projector that my uncle sold (over £10,000 I think) one got broken in shipping then another was shipped from Italy to the same customer and again it arrived broken. Couriers are the worst kind of people.
  12. Neptune's Bountiful Pride 3

Yeah I'm in and I'm going to lose!! Can we use aliases to hide our identities also.
  13. Couriers are fucking shit

I've had nothing but good deliveries from DHL a set of TF2 posters arrived in 2 days from Seattle, though I have never shipped anything which is above the £17ish limit pre tax. DPD were the company were the company who the parts originally came through, they were decent enough, though it was at the time when the UK was covered in snow.
  14. With it being quite apparent that plenty of people here enjoy great board games, I reckon it would be good to have a few games of something relatively simple: Catan, Dominion and Carcassonne are playable online here for free, among plenty of others. Skype would be ideal for communication. Who would be interested in this?
  15. Awesome Boardgames online.

I know 2030 it's simple once you've got the hang of it, though quite intimidating if you haven't. I'd say it would be better for those with a decent amount of board game experience.

http://www.nitrome.com/games/faultline/ awesome platformer with a rad mechanic.
  17. Scott Pilgrim [video game]

    I'm 20 and hate it?
  18. Rayman Origins

I physically shouted out yes for this during the live stream. I think a lower price point works well for 2d platformers (not by Nintendo) at this point, look at 'Splosion man, Megaman, etc. It's going to be interesting to see if an episodic model works for it, with both this and Sonic 4. I want to add how bloody gorgeous this thing is, particularly the backgrounds.
  19. Recently completed video games

Yeah the codex pages, I had to run to a specific area and do the same bloody fight 16 times.
  20. Life

Yeah, that leads to a farmhouse.
  21. Life

Got me a route to jog, a nice mile circuit around a couple of fields, I can easily up it to multiples of that. This is what I miss about where I have lived for most of my life when in Manchester:
  22. Recently completed video games

Assassin't Creed 2: Finally got round to this, I enjoyed it, though there was an annoying fetch quest near the end of the game which nearly made me stop. Overall
  23. Portal 2

I think EA has been thrown a lot of money by Sony, whether it being a deal or something else, which would in turn affect Valve for Portal 2 and subsequent releases. Either way it's pretty good for those with only a PS3. I'd agree it's recent, particularly with the announcement of tier 1 platforms with the Mac release of Steam. I'm assuming that it will be on a new Source engine. Either way, Portal 2 will probably be great.
  24. E3: The Keynotes

This is something that hit me in particular, a quote saying something similar to: "The PS3 is the only home system which supports native 3D", Err the PC does. Murdoc, that was a long time ago. We are half a decade away from that.
  25. E3: The Keynotes

I find it unwatchable when they start to do that, are MS doing it? No. Sony always seem to need to go on the offensive.
