  1. My graphics card has kicked the proverbial

Uninstall it and reinstall it? AA and AF are often in game options, which are preferable to doing it on the GPU.
  2. L.A. Noire

Urgh that animation makes me feel sick. It's got fidelity, but there is something sorely lacking that is making me feel quite nauseous. I guess I'm sitting this one out.
  3. April 16, 2006?

    It says April here.
  4. Is Gabe Newell insane?

It's a good idea, I don't know if I like the idea of money being involved. If a friendly player can get access to additional content, which is merely aesthetic, for said game it would be great. Though money might be something which stops tossers from behaving with such disregard for other players.
  5. BRINK

Yeah it was, I was all up in stealing your identity.

The game is really good. Early on in the game I'd suggest setting the auto objectives on, then changing once you understand more what you are doing. I had a few problems with my ATI 4870, though solved them by downloading the 11.2 Catalyst drivers. Playing the Single player challenges is a good way to get decent starting kit and understand the game concepts, don't bother with the starting video 1000 exp is earned in a short time. Then jump into multiplayer.
  7. Books, books, books...

I've been reading a ton of comics recently, most notably Green lantern, Geoff Johns is a fantastic writer, quickly making GL one of my favourite heroes. All star superman is next.
  8. BRINK

The 360 version of the game seems to be broken from everything I have heard about it; the PC version is with ATI cards particularly the 4800 series, which is fixable. The Shackers who are playing a lot seem to be having a blast, as are other Steam Friends 67.5 hrs in just over a day between 11 people. It's becoming increasingly obvious that game reviewers are fucking awful at games, if an FPS has a learning curve and isn't CoD then it is crap. Their reviews haven't convinced me to cancel my pre-order.
  9. The Dancing Thumb (aka: music recommendations)

vSktQtG7SjU Pretty cool, very happy instrumental post rock.
  10. Portal 2

From the article twmac linked. They are all real gamertags, probably safest to change them, which I see has happened. I searched a few of them on google and the article was the first hit, I don't think they would be happy about that.
  11. Browser games

I used to play them a lot in high school. Atorian is the only one I remember the name of, in a few ways Neptune's Pride reminds me of it, apparently it's still going.
  12. Bitchy thread tags

It's not from that neccessarily, just a specific problem that makes everything you write hard to read, making your, usually unclear, point even harder to decipher. I also did tell you to decrease your use of ellipses.
  13. Bitchy thread tags

OH FOR FUCKS SAKE. I can't take you seriously with the incredible overuse of ellipses, it makes it unclear if you are serious or simply don't understand what the hell you are talking about. FUCKING STOP IT.

My actual view is that I detest having boxes, unless they are special editions, I will buy discs is they are cheaper and especially if they register on Steam. There's a reason I buy games on PC, so I don't have to add to my massive collection of physical media. I've only bought one Xbox retail game this year, well since Reach came out. Cases have so much dead space that I don't see the need to have them, particularly with manuals decreasing in size and relevancy. Discs are awkward, If I want to change the game I am playing I have to go and find the case for the current game, the one for the next game I want to play change the discs and wait for the game to load; whereas if I play a game on a harddrive I can have a disc in the drive go through the dashboard and find the game in seconds. Living in the age of digital gratification which we do, streamed and downloaded film and TV winning out is all but guaranteed. Blu Ray is slower than downloading a film from Apple TV, discounting the time required to go and buy/rent the disc. Of the few TV shows I still watch I subscribe through Itunes, I don't have to have the channel it is on, I don't have to watch adverts, I can re-watch it as many times as I want, I can back it up, DRM can easily be bypassed. Steam is the ideal solution, with HDD space being so incredibly cheap, one can store incredible amounts of content, for little cost. I can delete things to make space and re-download them at will. Zune is the closest thing to this currently for video, though purchasing options could be drastically improved. My ideal model would include everything digitally, but the option to buy games in store, Via a USB (or similar) drive, which would install the game to the consoles HDD, The drive could be reused, possibly giving a small discount opposed to having to get a new one. Also certain ways that Blu Ray releases are processed ruins films: http://www.tested.com/news/why-not-all-blu-ray-movies-are-created-equal/85/

  17. L.A. Noire

Digital> Blu Ray. I would much prefer games to come on USB memory sticks than on discs. Discs need to die soon, really soon.
  18. Mass Effect 3

I dunno, they could use a Jedi Knight type set up, push beats choke, or taking out the guy using lift make him drop the lifted player. You might have just made me excited about the possibility that there could be Mass Effect Multiplayer.
  19. POLITICS!

80,600,000 can't be wrong. I know this is a stupid argument but 12 million didn't vote no 8 did.
  20. Assassin's Creed Revelations

Urgh more Ezio and Altair? I would really like to see Victorian London or maybe great fire era Chicago.
  21. POLITICS!

2 from No to AV, filled with lies, 0 from Yes to AV.

  23. The great Valve re-play

Welcome to the real world. People have different tastes. If something is good then not everyone needs to like it, if something is bad not everyone dislikes it. I like blondes, you like redheads; I like women, some guys like men, neither choice is wrong. If you don't like it ignore it, the same thing which should have happened with a certain song about a day in the week.
