I've tried lots of different implementations of 3D, paper glasses against monitor, those expensive glasses, vr goggles, no glasses with special monitor. None of it is "there" really if you factor in costs. If you have money to burn then you could get a decent setup I guess.

Tried loading STALKER Clear skies last weekend, turned everything to max and restarted. Well tried to restart, never got past the splash screen in Windows, couldn't even go back in to the menus to reset config to default. I deleted the config file so the game reset itself and I was able to start a game but when I got out of bed after the intro I couldn't move, I could look around but not move. Anyone had this?

I'm playing this now, feels too shootery. Lately it has been "land on planet, shoot lots of bad guys and talk to mission objective character" Sweet game though, the action is good, just not what I expected/wanted out of ME2.

It's out on 360 now? I have it on Steam, it's on my to-play list. Did they add anything for the 360 version?

X-Men Origins Wolverine, last boss was annoying. Good game though.

Just finished Crysis Warhead, those games are sweet. I was still finding out new stuff with the suit right until the end. Now playing STALKER Shadows of Chernobyl. How far in am I?

There was a new patch released today or yesterday right? They said they'd improved framerates on the PC. I have a decent rig (i870 5870) and it ran choppy in places... can anyone confirm improved Considering how it ran on 360 and how it ran on my rig there must be room for a few more frames in there.

I played Supreme Commander 1 and Forged Alliance a lot, 90% multiplayer. That game is damn sweet. Let me know if you want to play... I'm still up for a game anytime. Too bad the community isn't bigger, those that are playing are hard core and multi is HARD . Supreme Commander 2 however, I'm fucking loving it. Haven't played much else since SC2 launched, am about 40 hours on multi. Why am I loving it? First of all is the strategic zoom, why is this not in all other games (and applications for that matter). Also it now has Steam for friends and matchmaking, so much more seamless and easier than GPGNet. The variety in strategy and how you play is vast, land pimp, air pimp, ACU rush, transporter ninja, experimental rush (awesome), turtling, artillery whore... all of these have counters if you do proper scouting Playing a game of SC2 compared to SC1 is much more smoother and streamlined(FPS and gameplay a like), it has all the elements from the first one but condensed into a smaller time scale, you will have multiple experimentals in a longish game. A longish game is 30-40 minutes instead of 60-90 minutes back in the day. I could go on. I just played my first ranked 1v1 game recently, the other guy built research stations for all his starting resources and marched forward with his ACU and starting engineers. I was saving my research points for until basic scouting had been made and as soon as I saw the dude trudging along towards my base I put my points on my ACU. When he showed up in my base I took out his engineers healing the ACU and then whittled down the ACU itself and winning the game. I lost my second ranked game though was land rushed and was ill equipped to deal with it. I still miss the replay vault though.

If you went to or listened to the XBox Live enforcement panel I read the same guy came up to the Q&A mic and asked Stephen Toulouse to unban his gamertag. He was banned for playing pirated games. Same guy or not, it was sad.

Yes, Windows 7. Do you have the same hardware? I've had problems with video playback as well, viewing HD from YouTube sometimes would bring the machine to it's knees. The screen would update every 2 seconds maybe. Background processes would be fine and music still playing without problems some something to do with the display.

hah I thought of this thread tonight, since I built my machine a few months back the mouse cursor always blows up to 4x its size making it look stupid and fat. No other side effects, just a giant giant mouse cursor. Googling suggested it was a bug that only appeared with the type of video card I had (5870) combined with the type of motherboard I had (ga-p55m). Driver updates could not fix this but apparently flashing the motherboard BIOS to the latest revision would make it go away. So I set about flashing the BIOS and it seemed to go OK and I rebooted my machine to a nice "Operating system not found" during boot. Sweet. Took about 30 minutes but I found a BIOS setting that had been reset during the wipe to reconfigure the RAID I have on my HDD. I don't think you get this kind shit on any other popular platform. It's been about 4 hours since I got the machine back up and my cursor still maintains its slender and fit figure so here's hoping...

Just started playing myself, really digging it about 2-3 hours in. Anyone feel a bit lost in the story to begin with, seems like the localization wasn't done with the big picture in mind or something.

No I don't get sick like that but last weekend, while nursing a massive hangover I tried playing Dead Space on my big screen and it made me nauseous as shit. Just moving around, no action or monsters on the screen. That's the only time I think so I do know what it's like.

Strafe jumping in Quake series, rocket jumps were not intentional I believe and I liked splash damage through floors in the early Quake 3 versions.

I haven't had a problem with it. Use it mainly for DOW2 and it's cool. XBox Live is awesome as well.

I have never done this and my RTS fu is weak. I will try this now and see if I can get a different experience. Stay tuned.
