You can't shut your eyes. A small child spots you, waves eagerly. You try to reach him, but are stopped short as the cables restraining your fingers go taut. Struggling against wires and straps binding your shoulders and feet, you get one last glimpse of the boy before he's dragged screaming into Max Payne's departing van.

Having a blast with the beta. Considering the limited time I have for gaming nowadays and my concerns about the always-on DRM of Diablo III at $60, I think I may just save $40 and quench my ARPG thirst with this instead when it releases.

I think all of the (small) problems I've noticed have been pointed out already. Other than those, sweet forums!

I really dislike the Killing. It's one giant red herring where most of what happens ends up being meaningless. The characters do stupid stuff just to create drama and mystery. I like crime stories where each step in solving it is meaningful and is a piece of a larger puzzle, but with the Killing you'll spend a few episodes on one story thread only for it to have absolutely no impact on the resolution of the story. I watched the first episode of season 2 and stopped.

This game is currently free for Playstation Plus subscribers, by the way. I haven't gotten around to trying it yet, because Symphony of the Night was another one of the free games this month.

Just saw Mallick's Days of Heaven and I thoroughly loved it. It's one of those films where everything that I could say about it has already been said, but it's pretty beautiful. The only Mallick films I haven't seen at this point are the New World and Badlands. I should get around to that.

I'm more excited about this and Torchlight II than I am for Diablo III. *runs*

Honestly, shaky cam barely ever registers with me. People complain about it all the time but it really never bothers me that much.

I loved the battle system in that game, it's just everything else I didn't really care much for, so it's a positive for me.

Yeah, I'm not its target audience, but it held my attention and I really can't complain at all about it. Direction was pretty solid.

I think I may buy this. I've wanted a good JRPG for a while and this one seems to fit the bill. Not only that, but I want to show some support to them for bringing it to the US because, like someone above said, a lot of the people whining about the lack of a US release probably pirated it already. I don't want Nintendo to put to this as an excuse for them to not bring over some of their games.

MGS and MGS3 are pretty much perfect. MGS2 walks the line of unacceptable absurdity, but it never crosses it, I don't think. It's absolutely insane, but I don't think it ever goes too far. Now MGS4 has several problems I'm not as forgiving with, but I'll still likely play any entry in the series that comes before me out of habit.

When his voice starts to get really high and he's talking about how he looked when he killed Eddie's brother, I'm pretty sure my little boy briefs were full.
