COMPLETELY off topic. When uploading these pics I found my old webcomic! It isn't nearly as bad as I remember.
  2. Idle Thumbs Motorcycle Club

SURE! Not sure how helpful these are. The woman went all artistic for some reason.
  3. Idle Thumbs Motorcycle Club

I just put some M Bars on. It really lowers your riding position, but I like them.
  4. Idle Thumbs Motorcycle Club

VERY NICE. But then also, pics or it didn't happen. If you need handlebars, dude, I got you covered. I just installed my 4th set.
  5. Idle Thumbs Motorcycle Club

Agreed on the T100. Though I've heard the Base model handles a tad better due to the smaller front wheel. Either way. Potentially, welcome to the club!

Early 80s CB750 super sports are crazy nice. I really want a Ducati Monster (ostensibly for my wife, but we all know the truth) Depending on how much money you had to spend, the new Honda CBR250R is supposed to be one of the best bikes out there.

If you buy a Scrambler, I'll be happy to steal it from you.
  8. If you find something, let me know.
  9. Idle Thumbs Motorcycle Club

    You're dumb.

I'm intrigued by electric bikes. The local Triumph dealership had a couple of Brammos on display, and I thought about asking to ride one. I just feel bad test riding with no intention to buy! They look kinda snazzy though.

    HEY Devin Townsend!
  14. Idle Thumbs Motorcycle Club

NEVER! But god damn it was cold today. Some dick at work made a crack about me pussing out and not riding. Not realizing that I had just parked my bike in a different spot.

AH, but if that "somewhere else" is a full day to another bridge that may or may not be operable, then what are you going to do. Hell even here in Virginia if i was going to the Eastern Shore and the bay bridge is out, I have to ride 400 miles to get there.

BTW, anybody who is interested in motorcycle travel NEEDS to read this book. It is basically the gold standard for the two wheeled gypsy. http://www.amazon.co...r's travels

Oh hey, Vanaman, You were worried about taking your wife two-up on a Bonnie, and I guess this guy does it all the time! http://www.advrider.com/forums/showpost.php?p=19863431&postcount=516

Haha, I've got a buddy that married a well off lady from Philadelphia and moved to Paris for a couple of years. This guy's a total dork, so it isn't out side of the realm of possibilities! Hey Chicken, riding through the Rockies was one of the most amazing rides I've ever done! The Million Dollar Highway from Silverton to Ouray (I think) is extremely fun but really challenging. It's basically ALL up above the altitute where humans shouldn't really be, and there are no guard rails by the drop offs.

Here's a portion from our trip of a couple of years ago. http://mjrobe.wordpress.com/2011/01/01/summer-2010-2300-miles-on-a-t100/

Someone on my block makes mopeds like that, I kinda think they are awesome.
  22. Idle Thumbs Motorcycle Club

Have you thought about the Tiger? Its not as cool as the others, but it has a bit more grunt and might be more comfortable two up.
  23. Idle Thumbs Motorcycle Club

VEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERY cool. Squid Division needs to post a link to his blog so we can see pics of our trips. I would look it up, but I am lazy.
  24. Idle Thumbs Motorcycle Club

I would HIGHLY recommend them. But if you want to jazz it up a bit then the Triumph Scrambler is about the best looking bike I think I've seen in a while.

New handlebars are pretty sweet I think.
