  2. Who would even want to upscale that? Pixel art is great as it is.
  3. Tales of Monkey Island

Just finished the game, man that was great. Also, I noticed in the credits that Jake was listed under 'Choreography', what's that all about?
  4. Tales of Monkey Island

    Scoop!
  5. Any Company of Heroes Players on here?

Unless you're British (In-game, not if you're actually from Britain, though you never know)
  6. Any Company of Heroes Players on here?

You'll be able to play online just fine if you just patch up to the latest version of the game. The patches are pretty huge though and can be a pain in the ass to install.

Ok, I got the game running again and I got to say it's as great as ever. The new maps in the automatch cycle are kind of confusing, but I'm sure I'll get used to them as time goes by. My new account is called Syllable, so add me up if you're up for a game or two. Tales of Heroes was actually the reason I started playing CoH. A friend linked me to one of their episodes, hesitant at first I watched it and by the time it was over I knew I had to get this game. Too bad they stopped just a few weeks after that. Also, Bridger sounds just like Remo.

I kid, I kid. Seriously though, this thing is going to be huge. It's Elvis all over again, wait for the "Jacko lives" flyers and the endless stream of impersonators and biographical movies. R.I.P.

    Too soon?
  11. Any Company of Heroes Players on here?

Ooh, me! I used to play a ton of this game until the newest patch came out. I somehow managed to fuck the patching up twice and after countless reinstalls and three days later I gave up on it... We'll have to see, maybe I'll give it another go sometime soon. One of the best parts about CoH though is it's community on GameReplays. Those guys are totally awesome. They have all sorts of shoutcasts for great replays and nice mentoring programs for beginners. You should check it out if you already haven't. Also, hate to nitpick, but shouldn't this be in "Multiplayer Networking"
  12. If you're under 18, gaming is about to suck for you

I think this kind of makes my analogy relevant.

  14. If you're under 18, gaming is about to suck for you

This debate is as stupid as two men talking about abortion. Go talk to a fucking pregnant woman. I played a shit-ton of Vice City when it first came out in 2002 (I was 11 years old at the time) and it did not affect me in any of the ways any of you described. I think that when most kids are exposed to gore or violence they take it very differently than adults. Adults can look at a game, compare it to reality and think it's completely disgusting and morally wrong, but in the end all a kid will think is "This is so COOL!" which it is. Most kids will understand the difference between game and reality, even more so than adults. In my opinion all the disclaimer on the box should say is "not for the mentally unstable" and maybe list some things in the game that might be offensive, scary or anything of the sort. Age restrictions in themselves are bullshit. All people are different, people grow up at very different rates and people handle violent or sexual images in very different ways. You can't go around calling out "bad parenting" when someone buys COD4 for their child. Their child most possibly CAN in fact handle the stuff that is in the game and if they can't, well, then I doubt even the child will want to play that game ever again. Parents should know what their can and can't handle. I'm not saying every parent should buy violent games for their 8-year-olds, but if they do you can't just blindly judge them for it.

Why? Not trying to flame, I'm actually curious.

It still feels kind of ridiculous when the clerk asks for my ID when I'm trying to buy e.g. Mass Effect or the new Gears of War.
  17. Oh Fuck ! (©Yufster)

I can't believe they were able to sell that format to other countries.

Yes. You can count on me to show up.
  19. Boycott Left 4 Dead 2!

Seems to me that you guys are overreacting even more than the boycotters. It's not like these people have forgotten the awesome things that Valve has done in the past, that's the whole reason they are doing their little petition in the first place. How can you even justify something supposedly bad by the good that has already been done. Maybe they need to learn to trust a little more, but I think these "fucking spoiled brats" have a point in there and the right to criticize even if they are overreacting a bit. Cut them some fucking slack.
  20. Holy Shit! Awesome E3 News!!

The new Splinter Cell looked good, almost too good to be true.
  21. That doesn't even look real.
  22. World of Goo

Just thought this was worth posting. Found via the Indiegames blog. It's a really dark claymation clip about well, World of Goo, and it's totally sweet. Check it out! http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/494395

  25. Life

As of today I have small yellow squiggly lines on the top left corner of my monitor, which I believe are the result of me throwing my keys at the thing after playing Spelunky for 4 hours straight. Then I ate pudding. Good day.
