Yes you can definitely join more than one. I'm playing 3 myself right now. Also I'm a horrible cheat so I googled "Neptune's Pride tips" right when I got into my first game. Found this: http://www.rxtx.co.uk/tag/neptunespride/ It's not very deep, but there's some great basic tips and such to get one started... I think... I'm still a complete n00b so I have no clue if they actually work.

It's a free thing called Beta Algieba if that's what you meant. The game just started yesterday. Great fun!

Yay, Thumbs!

The gratuitous film grain is great and with the new dialog thing it feels like I'm playing Mass Effect 3! When can we expect to see the awkward sex scene?

Goddammit Iceland! My friend is now apparently stuck in Japan because of this. We were supposed to go play pool this weekend.

I would totally play with you. -
Yes! It was SupaPlex. Man this game was awesome. We used to play the shit out of this every day after school. Well, this and SkiFree... Good times.

What's that one old 2d game where you play kind of like a red PacMan, except you can dig through shit and there are lots of enemies and changing levels? I remember it was pretty common, but I can't remember the name for the life of me.

I named my Magmar "Hot Scoops".

This kicks ass: http://tigsource.com/articles/2010/03/15/cave-story-developers-voice Pixel seems like a cool dude.

First the indie hate and now this. Jim Sterling seems to be quite the controversial.

Yes! I think that is the looks most of the indie game scene is going for right now and this game just totally nails it. Complete awesomeness. Also bonus points for the Anamanaguchi tune at the end.

The Dancing Thumb (aka: music recommendations)

Wow, that turned out to be way better than I expected it to be. What's up with the Luffy cosplayers running through the set? Is this some new opening theme for One Piece? -

Oh man this is one of my favorite movies. I just love the idea of combining ancient mythology and philosophy with early 20th century American culture. There's just something so mythical 'bout them prairies and southern accents. It's pretty much best. Also, this. gyrcUlX7sPg -
The Idle Thumbs Podcast Episode 3: "Your Buddy, Space Marine" or "The Capper"

This made my day. -
Finished the game today and it was great. I liked was the new 'logic' mechanic. It's very similar to the note system in the Blackwell games, where you store and combine ideas in your notebook rather than items in your inventory. It's a great idea, but in investigations the logic pieces are often way too obvious. It still feels less far-fetched than the magicky stuff from the previous games though.

I just finished Tales of Game's Presents Barkley, Shut Up and Jam: Gaiden, Chapter 1 of the Hoopz Barkley SaGa and I have to say I have never gotten so pumped up after hearing the theme to Space Jam. This game is just amazing. It's about a post-cyberpocalyptic Neo New York where basketball has been outlawed and "the Space Jam" is an actual event that happened in history. Yes, you read that right. This game had me in stitches more times than I can count. If you don't slam with the best, you jam with the rest. Also I finally finished Spelunky. Took me way too many hours to do it, but I loved every second of it. AND I finished a demo of this indie game Cult Classic. It maybe a bit too self-referential for it's own good, but it's still a good mix of what feels like Earthbound, GTAIV and corny racist stand up comedy.

Well I stuck some Thumbs names into the MIT Personas project for some hilarious results. Teh internetz do not lie.

Generally I don't like let's plays, but I really enjoyed this one. I started watching it because I had previously played the game to a certain point already and didn't feel like going through it again. Turned out there was something extremely satisfying about watching someone else struggle with the puzzles instead of you. It's almost better than playing it yourself.

There's another short interview with Gilbert up at 1UP. Hearing him talk about the game definitely made me warm up to the concept more. http://gamevideos.1up.com/video/id/26267

I thought I got stuck in an infinite time loop.
