Nixon. I think that's pretty much all that needs to be said. Donating, he's a great developer, and he's always done a great job of representing for McMillen/McMillan/MacMillans everywhere.

I really want it, but it doesn't have a European date yet, never mind publisher. Was this close to importing the Asian version six months ago.

I'm, for some reason, amazing at the versus for this. Almost every match I'm ranked top (with the best k/d ratio as well), and I suck at every other online game. It's nice to actually be good at one. I think I'll get the game. Liked the first one quite a bit, and this looks to have ironed out some of its issues.

I got a Guarana one packaged with a games magazine years ago. I'm sure it was OPS2's Soul Calibur II review issue. It tasted horrible.

http://www.quelsolaar.com/love/ I saw a preview of it a while ago, then forgot what it was called, and thanks to RPS I now remember. Looks fucking incredible. The developer (as in one man) has a pretty fascinating blog as well. Sweden is turning into my favourite game development country (BCR and Mirror's Edge were my two GOTYs). Have a read: http://news.quelsolaar.com

Maybe that's why Chuckpebble ran it over.

The demo was great.

I think I'll save myself for the full game. Haven't watched a great deal of in game stuff either, so I hope I'll appreciate it more when I get my hands on it. This comes out the same day as Uncharted 2, Machinarium and The Void. Unfair

It must have been one all powerful bitch of a time machine to let you go back and change your post like that.

Oh shit oh shit oh shit oh shit. The public alpha is out, three euro to try it. Go here for more. I've created my account and am about to start. If you put someone down as a referral you get 24h of extra play time and they get 5 days - my account name is FRASER (very imaginative) in case you were wondering I also have a friend account called "PAPATINKLES" (it forces caps) with the password "PAPATINKLES69", you can apparently use that for free when I'm online, but I'm not sure if that works for the alpha.

Ha, the first thing I thought was "Poo Snake!" Oh shit! In one of those awesome Idle Thumbs coincidences I just opened my tab on The Guardian and was faced with this ad:

Spelunky does, it takes a while to get your head round the best configuration, though. I think I accidentally killed myself about four times from pushing the wrong button before giving up last time. Maybe I'm just stupid and can't play a video game. I guess every Source mod does, but that's basically irrelevant. I was going to say that Blueberry Garden doesn't and Lunnye Devitsy does, but then I remembered that I paid for them
-
You could have saved some money and hassle if you just bought and installed a new disc drive on the first broken Xbox, opening the 360 isn't hard, and if the warranty's irrelevant then there's nothing stopping you. Or you could have just manually red-ringed the fucker.

It's just the podcast for me, so: every time I do something nerdy I get Chris' anorak voice in my head; laughter on the bus and the usual maniac looks; obsession over when the next episode is coming out (if I think it's on the way I won't leave the house until I get it); spontaneous laughter at anything related to the podcast; going out on walks so I have an excuse to listen; horror at how dismal most other podcasts are; horse bag; one-word Jake quotes popping into my thoughts without provocation. I love Idle Thumbs.

Even at the absolute height of their aggressive bullshit, EA didn't come close to where Activision are today.

I quite like it. The mechanic itself is definitely flawed, relying on the AI to take care of everything will never be perfect, but it's a nice change from standard strategy games. It's kind of like watching a simulated MMO where you set the quests.

Wow, the inside of the frog has been squeezed out like a toothpaste tube. Rad story, even if I feel bad for it

So I'm not going to be around for a while...

Best of luck, hope she'll be alright -
Rab and Ryan, hooray!

The horse bag has a secret dildo.

I've just started uni and freshers' week has been fantastic! Started out surprisingly dull, but got progressively more awesome to the point that it qualified as "totally rad". Also, I got published on Gamasutra Am I Remo's workmate yet? Things are good.

I quite like this game, more than I thought I would
-
That was just one of the weirdest fucking episodes ever. I'm not sure if I can identify any particular reasons, it was just strange. In the best possible way, of course
-
But what if it sucks balls? Like, really, really badly?
-
because a madballs thread in 'gaming' might have gotten me banned...
gdf replied to George B's topic in Idle Banter
That's rad! I look forward to Madthumbs in Ba2oo.
