  1. Summer Steam Sale

I used to lament not having a gaming computer, but I guess it saves my wallet a lot of pain.
  2. Life

Does that make you feel like Ethan Hawke?
  3. Neptune's Bountiful Pride 3

It's cool do see that you guys are still really into this. Kudos to you for sticking with it so that you can really explore everything it has to offer.
  4. Movie/TV recommendations

That's a great movie to watch with your friends on Halloween and laugh your ass off at how goofy it is. Also: Brainscan.
  5. Movie/TV recommendations

You've watched Night of the Living Dead, right? Because that's probably the greatest horror film ever made. I haven't seen any of his newer stuff but I assume he's just gotten old and lost his edge. I'd argue the same thing about Scorsese (his new films are not bad per se, but he'll never make another Taxi Driver).
  6. XBLA Strategy

I was playing a little Greed Corp., and it dawned on me I should put out the call to see if there was anyone interested in a little strategy gaming of any kind on the X360. I ask because I'm sure those of us who would play games like this on the xbox are in the vast minority so it would be interesting to see if we could find a few people who were interested in the occasional round of Magic the Gathering, Catan, Panzer General, Worms etc... Does anyone have Greed Corp.?
  7. Life

Holy shit them's some hefty posts. I'm going to read the hell out of them...just not right now.
  8. Red Dead Redemption - bugs

I'm bummed that I didn't experience any of the nifty glitches and bugs I've seen on youtube. I played through the whole game and didn't see anything super crazy.
  9. Red Thumb Redemption

That's the name of my new math rock band.
  10. Life

Yeah, my default is self-loathing and depression. But I've been trying to actively replace those emotions with other ones. I think most people are constantly fighting their own minds in today's world. Maybe it's always been that way.
  11. Driver: San Francisco

They talked about this on one of the Giantbomb E3 Podcasts...it sounds like it's Deadly Premonition levels of batshit insane. The main character is in a coma...so I guess this is in his subconscious and he can switch from one car to another instantly without getting out and moving. It's like he's a magic ghost. It's like the upcoming Ghost Trick with cars (have you guys heard of Ghost Trick? it sounds brilliant).
  12. Recently XBLA games I have been enjoying

Trials HD and Shadow Complex are both 53% off
  13. Movie/TV recommendations

I think that's an issue most of us have, we group things by certain characteristics and then refuse to include applicable material because we happen to like it while we don't care much for the stuff in the aforementioned group. Wes Anderson is probably responsible for the type of film we're talking about becoming so prevalent (I love Wes Anderson, but I'm just saying, he's not exempt and there's a lot to criticize about his films).
  14. Movie/TV recommendations

Has been a genre of its own for like 10 years.
  15. Recently XBLA games I have been enjoying

If that turns out to be true...PM me and we'll do some co-op Z-Clashing...I already own this game but haven't tried it yet...I just finished the game I was playing so I'll probably jump into either Zeno Clash or Alpha Protocol.
  16. Movie/TV recommendations

    I can relate...I think it's the alcohol.
  17. Worms Armageddon

What about a router? or even unplugging your ethernet cable for the internet and plugging in your xbox temporarily (if that's feasible). If you can find a way...it's really worth it for stuff like Shadow Complex and Trials HD which are some of the best games on the X360 (Trials HD is probably in my top 5 games of all time...I might be crazy, but I personally think it's pretty much flawless).
  18. "The third E stands for 'dudes'." Jake is the funniest man alive. "Someday I will touch an X-Com." - Steve Gaynor...the man sure can dream, no?
  19. Movie/TV recommendations

Well, I expected it to be kind of lame, so I'm glad to hear you say it's not, so that now I'll actually watch it.
  20. XBLA Strategy

Oh jeez, sorry. I guess I read it and said "I'll respond later" and then forgot. Usually I always respond to PMs. If you catch me online (GrouchoClub) and invite me to play I'll be happy to jump into it with you.
  21. Life

Everything about that sounds great (I'm not kidding). What will you study in grad school?
  22. Red Dead Redemption

Really? that's typical Rockstar to get off-kilter like that? This is the only Rockstar game I've ever finished (feel free to scorn me for it)...can you give examples (or can other people give examples?). I don't care about spoilers, but please use spoiler tags in case other people do care.
  23. Life

Miffy, I'm so happy for you. You're so rad (because philosophy is cool as shit). What do you plan to do next?
  24. Red Dead Redemption

Yeah, it almost seemed like they were going for an offbeat Twin Peaks vibe with the weirder stranger missions and the Seth stuff, but they never really committed to that, it never goes very far and just sort of peters out after a while.
