I don't think I've ever done anything out of a sense of rebellion. I'm probably the least Rock & Roll person since Bach.
-
I'm kind of surprised nobody likes this game, so far. I played the demo and it seemed like something that would appeal to big-time FPS fans...I assumed it was just too hardcore for me...but I liked the overall look and feel of it.

Well you're in luck (or something) because after much familial nagging, I went back on the goddamn stupid pills. They're still working the way they used to (yes, I can tell the difference). I do think you were a bit presumptuous with your last post, but I appreciate your concern. By the way...next time we're both on xbox live, how about we do some co-op or something? Do you have 'Splosion Man or Castle Crashers? P.S. I have to wonder based on the way you talk about them if you are/have been on this kind of medication yourself? Most people who are on that kind of shit seem to rebel and try to go off it sometimes even though we're not supposed to (this isn't my first time running for the fence, if you know what I mean).

The All New XBox Gamertag Exchange Thread!

No worries. I went out on a limb when I made the requests (I was really new here). I didn't necessarily expect anyone to respond. I sent a voice-message to Jake and he added me, so now I get to know whenever he's watching a movie. -
You're absolutely right, but I'm being a bad boy. The withdrawal symptoms are nothing major. I still have the pills if it gets bad enough that I need to break down and take them. I guess I'm turning into a B-movie character, because my perrogative is: "This is just something I need to do. Now, leave the fucking car running."

Oh my God, really? That movie looks so mother-f'ing sick! All they have to do is mumble Tim Burton's name during the preview for an animated movie and I'm down like James Brown.

Kudos on the job/laptop/mouth news, everybody. I went off my antidepressants today. I feel very different. Not so impulsive, not as desirous of junk food, more emotionally flat. Over all I think it's a good change for reasons I can't explain with the kind of brevity I believe a message board requires. There are mild physical side effects, but I think I can tough 'em out.

Good on ya, Thunderpeel, I didn't realize you had made that nifty-ass list. I will put it to use. -

I had a couple people add me (thunderpeel and erkki) and thanks so much for that...but I have a tiny friends list, so I want to reiterate: Strummer521. Please consider my application. I look forward to being your friend. -
You're amazing. Will you love me?

In all seriousness, though, you guys are right...I mean...I'm definitely down with the PS3; I'd love to have one, but I can't afford to be tempted by all the additional games I could buy. I've gotten over missing Little Big Planet and I'm on the right side of the Fable III fence, so in my own book I'm doing ok. Plus, a hundred dollars isn't a big jump relatively speaking, but for me, it's sizable, and I have to factor in the inevitable software purchases...that extra one hundred sets me up nicely to start my blu ray collection off well.

Well we're not talking pounds, Lord British. We're talking about God's-People money. It's like comparing apples to sleek, black luxury cars. I'm totally kidding.
-
I ended up buying a Sony blu ray player instead of PS3, because I know I'm saving a lot of money simply by not having access to PS3 exclusives and PSN games. Plus, straight BR was $100 cheaper and for some stupid reason, it just feels classier to watch Blu Ray on a regular player than through a game console.

"This game is like you...or even me!" (ign.com) "This game is so good you'll think you're playing a different even more awesome game while you're playing this one." (ign.com) "This game will hurt you in a way that will make you say, 'I don't know why this is called pain, if it feels so fucking good. will someone please explain to me how this is supposed to be hurting me? It's like strawberries and chocolate.'" (ign.com) This game will make you be like, 'woah! Guys, I'm out of ammo. Can anybody give me some ammo? Oh, we can't give each other ammo? Ok. Well...I'm going to hide behind these barrels while you guys take care of those enemies, cool? I'll jump back in when I can get some ammo.' It's that intense." (ign.com)

British people say "bits" instead of "parts".

Just borrowed The Punisher: Warzone Blu Ray from a friend. It's a fun B-movie and the only comic book adaptation I've seen that really felt like a comic book (i.e. pulpy, disposable entertainment...brazenly stupid, and small enough to feel almost intimate, like it could have been your childhood imagining instead a 100 million dollar freakshow). Most comic book movies feel like they're trying to be THE EVENT OF THE SUMMER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This one just feels like it's trying to be a comic book on screen. I would not have hoped for any more or less. Also, if you like bad accent work, this one's for you.

That settles it. I'm going to buy it. Thanks, guys.

Should I buy Indigo Prophecy on Xbox Live?

I was watching Conan the Barbarian (classic early Arnold), tonight. I got to the part where James Earl Jones turns a snake into an arrow and shoots what's-her-name, and when she's dying, she says..."The Wizaaard!" I lol'ed and rewound to watch it again.

Summer of Arcade 2009! Are you ready to party?

Me three. And I almost never take that kind of completist approach to games.
