I think it's still different enough to dodge copyright law.

If you write "headless horseman" it spawns a guy in armor with a cape and no head (the horse is not included) and he just keeps running into everything because he has no head. "boss" spawns a guy in a suit complete with a fedora and an old school machine gun that reminds me of Dick Tracy. So...crimeboss, I guess. "Jock" spawns a black guy with an afro who dribbles a basketball.

I know. Which is perfect. I can postpone the purchase for a long time.

The All New XBox Gamertag Exchange Thread!
Garple replied to ThunderPeel2001's topic in Multiplayer Networking
Fair enough. I won't start a whole new thread for such a minute issue. But I will respectfully withdraw my question. -
It's Pine-apple Express...but changed to Apple Express...I couldn't write out the correct word for the fruit in the real title without the stars replacing it as censorship for some reason. I can say fuck but I can't say pine-apple without a hyphen.

The All New XBox Gamertag Exchange Thread!

This seems as good a place as any to ask if anyone else has pre-ordered Borderlands. I wanna get a posse goin'. -
Also...if you spawn some catnip, the cat will just jump down. It will land without getting hurt too, which I guess is because cats always land on their feet.

Was Rise of the Machines Terminator Two or Three? I've never seen any of those movies. Re: the two above: ********* Express and The Punisher. I can't get it to not censor the word P1neapple

Oh...Christ. It took me way to long to figure out that was LOTR. How about Lord Kong. How about 2002? How about Eyes Open Closed Eradicator Two: Robots Goin' Up! Does somebody know how/care to shift this stuff to its own thread, because I have a feeling this will become another "(ign.com)" situation.

God...I keep seeing references to Pokemon stuff and I'm starting to really want to play a Pokemon game. It would feel like I was in a movie called Forth Grade: The Return if I did play it, and that would be great.

Might one enjoy it if he doesn't give a spit about comic books?

Mono is always cool because you can hear something closer to what it would have sounded like being in the room as the recording took place. I want to be buried with my mono first-pressing of Francoise Hardy's debut!

Ok, so I'll try Final Destination 2 and then see if I like it enough to watch the rest.

Aren't there other games you think you'd enjoy on the DS? Bangai-O Spirits Phoenix Wright series Advance Wars series Trauma Center series almost every Atlus and Treasure game that's made these days If you like JRPGs and (to a lesser extent) platformers, it's kind of the only system left that offers a wide range. Treasure's fighting games based on the Anime/Manga "Bleach" are great...they incorporated special moves onto the touch screen so they can be employed via what's essentially one button press (of course, you can still use the button combos) which, for once, allows you to focus on strategy more than hammering at buttons and actually enjoy a fighting game without knowing everything about it (no offense to fighting games, I'm exaggerating for effect). There's just a lot of quirky, fun stuff that comes out on DS. Even the less highly-rated games like Tokyo Beat Down have a lot of charm. So, I would say, if any of that stuff interests you, consider picking up a ds lite. If you want...you can even install ScummVM games on it (unofficially, of course...) Oh! and there's a great NES emulator for it with a "rewind" button, so you can finally play through games like Contra.

It's really weird that a while ago I bitched in this thread about how I wanted to play this game but couldn't buy a PS3, because I was just thinking right now that this game will be the tipping point that finally gets me to bite.

Street Fighter, Resident Evil, Mega Man...Capcom is hardcore. They seem to really care about publishing products that make gamers happy. They even devote a decent amount of resources to niche titles like Zack and Wiki, Okami and Phoenix Wright.

I think I'm going to wait a while on PS3 and see what happens. Maybe wait for a few more exclusives, see if the average prices on ebay start dropping. See if I can get a read on how long it's going to be relevant (I know, Sony will guard that info with its life, but the rumor-mill often isn't that far off on these things).

I picked up Final Destination on Blu Ray (it was only $10) and watched it last night. What a lovely piece of claptrap. The scene where they break into a funeral home and instead of being angry, the creepy mortician (who happens to be there in the middle of the night) explains to them how death has a grand design in place and everyone has a predetermined time, place and method for their death...gosh, it's wonderful, and I imagine the deaths only got better as the series went on. I think I'll have to see them all now. I heard good/bad things about the recent 3D iteration on the giant bombcast (sorry to promote the competition). I'm starting to enjoy bad movies as much as good ones.

I own GTA but haven't played it in a while. Maybe I'll jump in on one of the Grand Thumb Auto sessions.

This gives me a lot to think about, guys, thanks. I guess instead of starting a new thread I'll pose this question here too. What about PS3...do the exclusives make it worthwhile if I own a 360 and Wii (not to mention a nice blu ray player)? I'm sure plenty of you own two or three consoles with one of them being the PS3. That being the case, are you satisfied with the PS3? Do you think it'd be a worthwhile addition for someone who's really on the fence, or should I pass on that? Before I create the impression that I can't make decisions on my own, I want to say that I'm asking because you guys are the types of gamers whose thoughts about gaming match mine more than any other website I've come across and I value your feedback. What is it like to own a PS3?

I knew someone would say something to that effect.
