it's just kind of...empty, really. i was so excited about this game, and it's just a bit meh. it's nothing like animal crossing, which is what it was kinda marketed as. it's just really really repetitive and there's not much to explore. Also, it actually did seem to kill the wii. We keep getting the "unable to read disc" message which apparently means the drive's been fucked. I'm fucking depressed.

does anyone know anything about XSL?
-
ha, no it's a text to speech engine (my eyesight is very important to me). yeah i figured as much but thought i might be able to command prompt it into working, using a language i don't know.... i need to get some sleep. thanks anyway!
-
yes! that's the one! i've installed a tts but on startup it keeps reporting a fatal error: unable to compile stylesheet. the system definitely uses XSL. it's called mary, and the particular app is emospeak. any ideas?

I got tickets to a sold out festival! and have been spending the week buying wellies and ground sheets and the like. turns out the tent i remember from my childhood is a ten man bastard so there has been a bit of practice scout-type activity too.

the juxtaposition of the molyneaux pic and the tim pic make molyneaux look like he's trying his best not to look jealous

how about this... is this your da?
-
it's because his dad is really tim curry as pennywise the clown in IT, "they all float down here!"
-
Rodi you're ruining the game! you're supposed to know your parentage! i give up. its probably miffy. and miffy is canadian so his father is clearly mike myers.
-
Miffy. Miffy's definitely involved in your parentage. not our miffy, cute little bunny dutch miffy

the overlapping is to avoid something called acquiescence response set - which just means agreeing with every question outta laziness. psychologists cunningly think that if they rephrase a question and you answer it differently it means you're a waster whose results don't bear analysing. this is why i don't use questionair=hey a spider just fell outta nowhere on my laptop between two keys - how the hell do i get him out!

dutchmen eh? i actually lived in amsterdam when i was tiny. how about....is that little boy who stuck his finger in the dyke (heh heh) your dad? no? audrey hepburn? noted psychologist beatrice de gelder? phd student jan van den stock? he must be it. he has the most dutch name out of them all.

well i had to google peter corry so....nope! although he is rather dashing isn't he? the hunt for jo's patronage continues? where're you from rodi, so that i can make humourous suggestions about who's ur da?

if you type DollyLlama into the cheat bar of SimCity 4 all your advisors turn into llamas. They make me happy.

it's soooooooooooo goooooood, but word of warning; start it up, then get yourself one of those little woodpecker things to keep hitting continue, then go for a walk, or make yourself a cup of tea. my boyfriend started his save there the other day and we timed it - it was 15 minutes. or 11. cant remember. anyway its long. and repetitive. but worth it!

i have a new flatmate. he brought a few games with him but has bonded with my boyfriend's copy of madden 06. he has no job. for the past 2 months, since he moved in, all he does all day long is play madden. he gets up when i leave the house to play madden. when i come home for lunch he plays madden. when my boyfriend gets home from work he asks him if he wants to play madden with him. the wii gives us daily updates on how many hours he's spent playing madden. its not cos he didn't ever play it before and its novel, cos he had 05. i bought a few new games last week, and out of curiosity generously told him he could start up his own saves, but he hasn't. he still just plays madden. i know everyone gets that over-play headachy guilt feeling once in a while, but someone please tell me i am not wrong in being a bit confused at this behaviour? i tried to say something to him and he basically said that all gamers spend that much time on a game. i thought most gamers had jobs, lives, significant othrs etc? that is all.
